I've read the rest of the IAD series but I started with A Hunger Like No Other and I never did read The Warlord Wants Forever so I'll read that one now.
I'm thinking I'll read The Warlord Wants Forever - I read half of this book about 18 mths ago and then put it down. I'll have a look around for my copy...
Ok - just realised I have traded in my book with The Warlord Wants Forever... :(I'll have to reconsider - maybe Midnight Sun or a reread of A Hunger Like No Other...
I finished Romancing Mister Bridgerton: The Epilogue II today 6/18 (for It's In His Kiss). This was the last little bit of the Bridgerton saga that I hadn't read. It was nice to revisit Penelope and Colin, they are very funny together.
Jane (PS) (or anyone else for that matter) - If you do want to read The Warlord Wants Forever follow the book link here on Goodreads and there's a link to a free PDF of it. I can't seem to copy the link itself here but I just downloaded it yesterday so it's still working.
Thanks Karen! :)***edit***
Just downloaded - Lisa Kay had the Amazon link in her review!
...I'm also currently listening to Vengeance In Death (the first appearance of the infamous McNab!) so might be reading two books for this session :)
Just finished Dreams of a Dark Warrior today. Another fun story to the expanding IAD series of Kresley Cole.
I read The Warlord Wants Forever yesterday (6/24/11). It was fun to go back to the beginning of the series and read the story I missed on how Myst became Mysty the Vampire Layer. :)
Finished The Warlord Wants Forever on 06.25.11. I thought it was okay - 3 stars. I'm just finding it difficult to get into this series. I've read A Hunger Like No Other about a year ago but it didn't really interest me enough to continue on.
I finished The Duke And I. I don't read many historicals but this was a fun light read. I really enjoyed it. I'll probably read more from this series.
OK - I just finished Vengeance in Death - this was WAAAAYYYY better than the previous book. Eve was much less annoying and Roarke finally made a minor stand; he still needs some work - and I'm happy to help him out with instruction for free... ;)
I finished It's In His Kiss today. I gave it 4 stars. The hero was dreamy but I found the heroine to be just a tad annoying. (Self confidence is so much more attractive!) Still, I enjoyed the read especially the descriptions of the moment each character realized they were in love.

I've finished [book:The Angel Experiment today. It was alright, but I have not been too impressed with James Patterson's YA books. He set the bar pretty high with his regular books, my favorite is the Women's Murder Club series. However, this is not the first author whose YA series disappoints while their adults novels are awesome. I wonder why that is...
I'm a bit slow this time, but I'm 1/2 way thru Julia Quinn's book
; I'm totally enjoying how fun this book is.It's now 6:15 am and I've finished the book - as I thought, it was thoroughly delightful.
I finished
on 7/8 and liked it. I honestly didn't think it fit in with the series but it's been a while since I've read book 1 so i could be wrong.

Based on Kresley Cole's The Warlord Wants Forever, here is our new list:
Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead
The Strain by Guillermo Del Toro
The Dream-Hunter (Dark-Hunter, #10) by Sherrilyn Kenyon
Jane(PS) - Dance With The Devil 8/12 *****
Dark Desires After Dusk by Kresley Cole
Book of Love by Abra Ebner
Holding the Dream by Nora Roberts
No Rest for the Wicked by Kresley Cole
Seven Up by Janet Evanovich
Joann - Smokin' Seventeen 8/3 ***
The Darkest Kiss by Gena Showalter (1)
Megan - 7/29
Yz - The Darkest Secret 8/3 ****
Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare
Little Brother by Cory Doctorow
The Wee Free Men (Tiffany Aching, #1) by Terry Pratchett
This is a tough one for me. I wasn't too fond of my first books in either the Lords of the Underworld or Immortals After Dark series but I feel I should give them another chance. I did enjoy The Warlord Wants Forever a little more than A Hunger Like No Other which I found, along with The Darkest Night to have major character issues, mainly being that I didn't like them at all! A few of the secondary characters were better though so I'm hoping I'll enjoy their stories more. If I chicken out I can always fall back on Pratchett who has never let me down yet! :D
Yes - tough call - I'm sort of reading a few of these series, but none of them with 'vigour'... It'll either be a Kresley Cole or Dance with the Devil by S Kenyon. I'll let you know when I've read it Yz...

I've decided to go with Dance with the Devil - I was pretty burnt by Night Embrace and have put off reading any more SK. But now, 9 months later, I feel ready to open her next installment :)
I read The Darkest Kiss for this weeks book. I liked it but not as much as the first book in the series. I would recommend it to people! I finished it on 7/29.Megan
Hmm....I am not usually a horror fan, but I think I will give The Strain by Guillermo Del Toro a try.
I finished The Darkest Secret for The Darkest Kiss a couple of days. The LOTR world just gets intriguing with every book. Looking forward to the next book.
I finished Smokin' Seventeen for Seven Up on 08.02.11. I always enjoy reading Stephanie Plum novels; they're lite, fluffy, and you just about always know what to expect. I rated it 3 stars.
I finally read Dance With The Devil - this book has been sitting on my bookshelf for over 2 years, purely because Night Embrace was such an ordinary book IMO. But I LOVED this one! It has given me impetus to not write off the rest of the Dark Hunter series. (I'm not saying I'll jump into the next book straight away - but I won't avoid it either :) 5 stars.
Random Book List #43Duration: August 23 - September 20, 2011
Based on Gena Showalter's The Darkest Kiss, here is our new list:
Soulless by Gail Carriger (3)
Joyce - 8/27 ****
Jane(PS) - 9/7 *****
Melissa - 9/9
Joann - Changeless ****
Forever by Maggie Stiefvater (1)
Erin - 9/4
Forget You by Jennifer Echols
Oh My Goth by Gena Showalter
Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins
Prince of Ice by Emma Holly
Into the Dark by Gena Showalter
The Other Boleyn Girl by Philippa Gregory
Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia
The Sea of Monsters by Rick Riordan (1)
Suzanne - 9/14 ****
Flirt by Laurell K. Hamilton
Valorie - Circus of the Damned 9/11
Matilda by Roald Dahl
Hmm, another good list. I'll read either The Sea of Monsters or Anna and the French Kiss. I've put off the latter many times.
I'm going to definitely read Soulless as I have this on another challenge. I may read Into the Dark also as it looks good....
Finished Forever on 9/4. I really liked how the series ended, although I felt it was kind of rushed. The only thing I didn't like was how the cop of all of a sudden knows everything about the wolves, it would have been better if he knew about it in the 2nd book!!
Just finished Soulless by Gail Carriger. What a delightful book - 5 stars. I really connected with Carriger's humour and writing style - lots of fun with some great characterisation. I'll definitely be continuing with the series.
Just finished Soulless. I love Alexia's character - she cracked me up. I will continue with this series :)
I finished Circus of the Damned (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter, #3) by Laurell K Hamilton. I enjoyed it more than the previous two. I think this series has finally grabbed me!
