KarenF (cleocleveland) | 1099 comments I've read the rest of the IAD series but I started with A Hunger Like No Other and I never did read The Warlord Wants Forever so I'll read that one now.

message 253: by Jane (PS), Moderator (new)

Jane (PS) | 24334 comments I'm thinking I'll read The Warlord Wants Forever - I read half of this book about 18 mths ago and then put it down. I'll have a look around for my copy...

message 254: by taita (new)

taita I'll read It's In His Kiss.

message 255: by Danyelle (new)

Danyelle (danisbooks) | 635 comments I'll read every book on my to read list

message 256: by Jane (PS), Moderator (new)

Jane (PS) | 24334 comments Ok - just realised I have traded in my book with The Warlord Wants Forever... :(

I'll have to reconsider - maybe Midnight Sun or a reread of A Hunger Like No Other...

message 257: by Fran, Moderator (new)

Fran | 12278 comments I finished Romancing Mister Bridgerton: The Epilogue II today 6/18 (for It's In His Kiss). This was the last little bit of the Bridgerton saga that I hadn't read. It was nice to revisit Penelope and Colin, they are very funny together.

Yz the Whyz (whyz) | 9327 comments I'll be reading Dreams of a Dark Warrior for Cole's IAD books.

KarenF (cleocleveland) | 1099 comments Jane (PS) (or anyone else for that matter) - If you do want to read The Warlord Wants Forever follow the book link here on Goodreads and there's a link to a free PDF of it. I can't seem to copy the link itself here but I just downloaded it yesterday so it's still working.

Jane (PS) | 24334 comments Thanks Karen! :)

***edit***

Just downloaded - Lisa Kay had the Amazon link in her review!

...I'm also currently listening to Vengeance In Death (the first appearance of the infamous McNab!) so might be reading two books for this session :)

Yz the Whyz (whyz) | 9327 comments Just finished Dreams of a Dark Warrior today. Another fun story to the expanding IAD series of Kresley Cole.

message 263: by KarenF (new)

KarenF (cleocleveland) | 1099 comments I read The Warlord Wants Forever yesterday (6/24/11). It was fun to go back to the beginning of the series and read the story I missed on how Myst became Mysty the Vampire Layer. :)

message 264: by Joann (new)

Joann | 973 comments Finished The Warlord Wants Forever on 06.25.11. I thought it was okay - 3 stars. I'm just finding it difficult to get into this series. I've read A Hunger Like No Other about a year ago but it didn't really interest me enough to continue on.

message 265: by Shelley (new)

Shelley | 141 comments I finished The Duke And I. I don't read many historicals but this was a fun light read. I really enjoyed it. I'll probably read more from this series.

message 266: by Barbara ★ (new)

Barbara ★ | 3901 comments I'm in for The Warlord Wants Forever (Immortals After Dark, #1) by Kresley Cole .

message 267: by Jane (PS), Moderator (new)

Jane (PS) | 24334 comments OK - I just finished Vengeance in Death - this was WAAAAYYYY better than the previous book. Eve was much less annoying and Roarke finally made a minor stand; he still needs some work - and I'm happy to help him out with instruction for free... ;)

message 268: by taita (new)

taita I finished It's In His Kiss today. I gave it 4 stars. The hero was dreamy but I found the heroine to be just a tad annoying. (Self confidence is so much more attractive!) Still, I enjoyed the read especially the descriptions of the moment each character realized they were in love.

I've finished [book:The Angel Experiment
today. It was alright, but I have not been too impressed with James Patterson's YA books. He set the bar pretty high with his regular books, my favorite is the Women's Murder Club series. However, this is not the first author whose YA series disappoints while their adults novels are awesome. I wonder why that is...

message 270: by Laurie (last edited Jul 12, 2011 03:15AM) (new)

Laurie I'm a bit slow this time, but I'm 1/2 way thru Julia Quinn's book It's In His Kiss (Bridgertons, #7) by Julia Quinn ; I'm totally enjoying how fun this book is.

It's now 6:15 am and I've finished the book - as I thought, it was thoroughly delightful.

message 271: by Barbara ★ (new)

Barbara ★ | 3901 comments I finished The Warlord Wants Forever (Immortals After Dark, #1) by Kresley Cole on 7/8 and liked it. I honestly didn't think it fit in with the series but it's been a while since I've read book 1 so i could be wrong.

message 273: by ~Sara~ (new)

~Sara~ | 667 comments This is a tough one for me. I wasn't too fond of my first books in either the Lords of the Underworld or Immortals After Dark series but I feel I should give them another chance. I did enjoy The Warlord Wants Forever a little more than A Hunger Like No Other which I found, along with The Darkest Night to have major character issues, mainly being that I didn't like them at all! A few of the secondary characters were better though so I'm hoping I'll enjoy their stories more. If I chicken out I can always fall back on Pratchett who has never let me down yet! :D

message 274: by Jane (PS), Moderator (new)

Jane (PS) | 24334 comments Yes - tough call - I'm sort of reading a few of these series, but none of them with 'vigour'... It'll either be a Kresley Cole or Dance with the Devil by S Kenyon. I'll let you know when I've read it Yz...

Jane, I loved Dance With the Devil- very good. You can't go wrong with a Kresley Cole either :)

message 279: by Jane (PS), Moderator (new)

Jane (PS) | 24334 comments I've decided to go with Dance with the Devil - I was pretty burnt by Night Embrace and have put off reading any more SK. But now, 9 months later, I feel ready to open her next installment :)

message 280: by taita (new)

taita I've never actually read Romeo and Juliet. And now I have a reason to! ;-)

message 281: by Megan L (new)

Megan L Harnett | 806 comments I read The Darkest Kiss for this weeks book. I liked it but not as much as the first book in the series. I would recommend it to people! I finished it on 7/29.

Megan

message 282: by Kim (new)

Kim | 295 comments Hmm....I am not usually a horror fan, but I think I will give The Strain by Guillermo Del Toro a try.

message 283: by Cheryl (new)

Cheryl (cawils_99) I'm going to read Vampire Academy.

message 284: by Yz the Whyz, Moderator (new)

Yz the Whyz (whyz) | 9327 comments I finished The Darkest Secret for The Darkest Kiss a couple of days. The LOTR world just gets intriguing with every book. Looking forward to the next book.

message 285: by Joann (last edited Aug 07, 2011 06:09AM) (new)

Joann | 973 comments I finished Smokin' Seventeen for Seven Up on 08.02.11. I always enjoy reading Stephanie Plum novels; they're lite, fluffy, and you just about always know what to expect. I rated it 3 stars.

message 286: by Jane (PS), Moderator (new)

Jane (PS) | 24334 comments I finally read Dance With The Devil - this book has been sitting on my bookshelf for over 2 years, purely because Night Embrace was such an ordinary book IMO. But I LOVED this one! It has given me impetus to not write off the rest of the Dark Hunter series. (I'm not saying I'll jump into the next book straight away - but I won't avoid it either :) 5 stars.

Joyce (eternity21) | 739 comments Finished Soulless on 8/27/11. I give it 4 stars. I'm looking forward to the rest of the series

message 295: by Erin (new)

Erin H Finished Forever on 9/4. I really liked how the series ended, although I felt it was kind of rushed. The only thing I didn't like was how the cop of all of a sudden knows everything about the wolves, it would have been better if he knew about it in the 2nd book!!

message 296: by Jane (PS), Moderator (new)

Jane (PS) | 24334 comments I've just started Soulless - I love the writing style and humour so far :)

message 297: by Jane (PS), Moderator (new)

Jane (PS) | 24334 comments Just finished Soulless by Gail Carriger. What a delightful book - 5 stars. I really connected with Carriger's humour and writing style - lots of fun with some great characterisation. I'll definitely be continuing with the series.
