Tya | 846 comments It kind of did. The Darkness Rising series followed Maya (a shifter) and her band of friends as they were either on the run to something/someone or escaping from something or someone after their town is burned down. Or something. The first two books in that trilogy are strictly from Maya and co. POV. The last book is like 70/30 Maya and the Darkest Powers gang. I was really disappointed because I didn't really like the Darkness Rising characters (which, someone or another on this discussion board said that they liked Darkness Rising more because it reminded them of Kelly's adult series and I've tried two of her adult series and absolutely did.not.like.) and I only stuck with them for so long because the rumor before the book was published was that the last book would be about all three of them. Actually, the rumor was that Darkest Powers would be a trilogy and Darkness Rising would be a trilogy and then there would be either a trilogy or a stand alone with the main characters from both series in it.

CassieCruel (faith_isola) | 80 comments I liked her adult series, but mainly because it was right up my street

I read all the Darkest Powers, but haven't started The Gathering yet

Shera (Book Whispers) (sherabookwhispers) | 2445 comments The Gathering wasn't that great. I still haven't gone back and finished the rest of the series.
