Well, I taught myself to knit after reading Debbie Macomber's "A Good Yarn" - "Knitting For Dummies" helped me thru the initial what goes where phase! I've never taken a knitting class. (Btw, You Tube is also great for how to knit video's - it helped me learn to purl!)

I like heat & humidity to a point - my body & all it's issues however does not and I either swell up & stiffen or it makes me sick or gives me a migrane. I sit outside as much as I can tho because I love it!
