Stacy (stacybinnj) | 57 comments I'm embarrassed to say that I have... I have a large personal librbary of TBR books and it's so easy to click the Buy button on the Amazon and B&N sites! I bought so many of the discounted bargain books from B&N that I didn't realize that I bought it twice. That and just the other day I bought The Harlequin for the second time on accident... I saw it on the Bargain Books pile at B&N and forgot I already had it!!!!

Am I the only one????

Can this illness be cured???

Sashana Yes! I bought Diary of a Chav twice. I thought I was buying the second book in the series but I bought this one by accident. I gave it to my cousin as a birthday gift though and she loved it.

Sashana Oh and I bought Vampire Academy again because the cover (from my first copy) got messed up and it's my favorite series so the books have to be in excellent condition.

Lisarenee | 7659 comments I go to thrift stores all the time and have multiples of certain books, especially when there are more than one cover for them. I try to carry a list, but I tend to loose them. Someone said there is a Goodreads feature for the iPhone that can help you keep track of them. I need an upgrade and I need to get this feature. Of course I would have to update my "books-I-own" shelf with a couple hundred or more books. Scary thought.

toria (vikz writes) (victoriavikzwrites) yes, I somehow managed to order two copies of Cornel West's Democracy Matters from Amazon. I Don't now quite how I did it. I Must have clicked buy twice. I also forgot that I had a book on my shelves and brought another copy.

Sans Stacy, I've been getting worse and worse about double buying books lately. I really do own too many that I haven't read yet, so when I'm browsing at a bookshop I'll say, "Hey, this sounds like something I'd like to read!" And it is. Because I've already thought that before and bought it. Oy.

What I really need to do is upgrade my phone to an Android OS. Then I can access Goodreads faster than my puny mobile can do right now and check my bookshelves while I'm at the shops.

Heather | 504 comments Yes, but I exchanged it for a book I knew was going on my keeper shelf!

Sans, I did that once before and continued to read the book..

Stacy (stacybinnj) | 57 comments I did it again yesterday! I ordered Personal Demon (Women of the Otherworld, #8) by Kelley Armstrong in paperback from Amazon... I went home and lo and behold there it was in HARDCOVER on my bookshelf. Oy!

Stacy (stacybinnj) | 57 comments What do you guys do with the duplicates? Do you put them on Swap? By the time I send it back to Amazon, I've already sunk at least half the cost.

message 10: by Sashana (new)

Sashana Stacy, you could give it to someone for Christmas or as a birthday gift.

Sans I either return them (I elect to pay return shipping to Amazon myself since it's usually 1/2 of what they charge) or I take sell it to a UBS.

Angela (angieerickson) | 338 comments Yep, I bought Destined for an Early Grave by Jeaniene Frost twice. I returned the second copy to Amazon, but they only gave me 50% back. I find that annoying since I spend a fortune through amazon. Oh well, I'm a book depository fan now.
