Ezi Chinny (ezinwanyi) I have had Magic Bites (Kate Daniels, book 1) in my purse for 4 months. I keep a paperback on me in case my kindle power dies...which hasn't happened yet. But I will get around to trying this series soon.

message 105: by TinaNoir (new)

TinaNoir The Kate Daniels series is in a word, Excellent. It isn't IR at all so doesn't really fit the scope of this group, but it is still worth the read. It is my favorite UF series hands down.

Ezi Chinny (ezinwanyi) This is on Amazon & Smashwords, but I can't find it on goodreads.

message 118: by Nia (new)

Nia Foxx (niakfoxx) | 9 comments I removed the Gargoyle's series in it's original offering. It's been reworked, edited and streamlined. I'm offering it in the format it was originally meant. Gargoyle's Mate is out now which is Lorn and Fatima's story. I will be reworking the second offering for a May release. FYI, Gargoyle's Mate is 15% off through the publisher at www.afterdarkpress.us and regular price on Amazon - Happy Reading

TinaNoir Currently reading The Departed by Shiloh Walker (bw/wm) by Shiloh Walker. The heroine is an FBI agent psychic who helps ghosts cross over. They call to her to help solve the thing (usually a crime) that is preventing them from resting. It is paranormal/mystery/suspense. No vamps or werewolves though.

It is a sequel of sorts to The Missing by Shiloh Walker which also features a bw/wm couple. You don't need to read the first to read this one, even though the characters from the first are referenced.

Only 99 cents interracial paranormal erotic romance?!?! I'm allllll over it! I'll let you know if it's good or not

Danielle The Book Huntress (gatadelafuente) | 200 comments I just finished a great YA book with a MC who is black. It has a great X-Men vibe:

Darwin's Children

message 123: by Roslyn (new)

Roslyn Gabriel's Redemption by Roslyn Hardy Holcomb This is my IR contemporary. He's an archangel, but doesn't know it. She's has to save him from an end of days cult.

Stolen by Roslyn Hardy Holcomb Is an IR paranormal historical. She's Eshu, West African shifters. He's a doctor who saves her after she's been shot while freeing slaves on the Underground Railroad.

Tanya Urban Fantasy Freak (tinky) | 33 comments Demon Ryder by Tamara Hunter was an average read, but I liked it and it wasn't erotica. There were only two (tasteful) love scenes. The h was black the H is white, he's also half demon.

Jessica Wimberly (lovehina154) has anybody read True Colors (Elder Races #3.5) by Thea Harrison ? Not sure if its considered IR.

Troysmom09 | 103 comments I read angel over my shoulder by Pepper Pace Diva. I have read all of her work. To be honest Angel over my shoulder was not my favorite. If you want I can loan it to you on the kindle.

message 128: by Merry (new)

Merry (merrym) | 77 comments When it comes to the Kate Daniels series, her father is brown...but she get lighter and lighter as the books get more and more popular so I dunno.
I've read Charisma Knights books for a review site and was not impressed. It was either too mysonistic or too cliche and predictable. I don't know if she's gotten better after that though.

Also, on Amazon, there are a crap load of free books, they probably suck but they're free and can be easily deleted :D.

message 129: by L'Poni (last edited Apr 13, 2012 10:06PM) (new)

L'Poni (lponi) | 41 comments Hi! I'm new! You CANNOT forget The Society On Da Run series! :D The leading Dragon prince (shifter) falls back in love with an African American girl. The series...okay I admit I wrote the series but I'm trying to set the bar for it. The black girl he falls back in love with is the lost Goddess of the space dragons. There are about 3 (actuallly 17) short stories that center around them.

In this one: Narcissus and the Dragon Birth by Nipaporn Baldwin she gives birth to a dragon god and is taken for experimentation.

In this one: The Love of an Italian Dragon by Nipaporn Baldwin it explores their relationship and his family members.

In THIS one: Imp Empress Falling in Love with Dragons Aaron and Seraphina's Tale by Nipaporn Baldwin this story is about how his father (Italian dragon prince) met his mother (African girl and daughter of the SkyHouse trainers).

This book Drachenscolderung (Drachenscolderüng) by Nipaporn Baldwin explores the Dragon's past relationship with a girl in an African/mixed village (where she's the Ohimesama) and how he came to love Chocolate girls.

This book Ashuton and Narcissus by Nipaporn Baldwin explores how he met the black girl/dragon goddess when she was a ballerina.

I hope you add those to the list! I'm trying very hard to make the series appeal to everyone and uncliche the Fantasy and Sci Fi genre and give African Americans bigger and more epic roles.

And yes, I'm fully black and my name is Thai and it means "To the Sky." :)

It made me cry, laugh, and wring my first in frustration with the heroine. You all should definitely give it a try. Well worth the price for 300+ pages.
