Oh no.... I hope that I won't be disappointed with Devoured. I enjoyed the prequel so much - so you like it better than the main story? :(
Randi wrote: "Oh no.... I hope that I won't be disappointed with Devoured. I enjoyed the prequel so much - so you like it better than the main story? :( "Yes, sadly I liked prequel much more than main book. Here are the things I liked in prequel and that were missing in 'Devoured':
- Lucas's side of story. Since 'Devoured' is from Sienna's point of view, we don't get to know what he thinks, and his emotional problems especially mystery about his ex wife that got me so intrigued is only mentioned at the end.
- Since 'Devoured' happens after breakup, relationship between Sienna and Lucas is full of angst, resentment and I could not feel any real spark except plain lust between them.
- In 'Devoured' Sienna is not naive and submissive at all towards Lucas. He even complains how she is submissive towards everybody except him. So he tries to teach her to be a good sub but to stand up to everyone else. It was not a bad idea, but the execution lacked something (at least to me).
I advise you to try and read an excerpt via Amazon or publisher's website before committing and buying the book.
I finished
last March 6. I thought it was just okay. I'm just getting tired of the dominant billionaire theme. In truth, most Doms are pretty laid-back people in real life. I give it 4 stars.

Just read this one - been busy! Thank you for MORE details on that - I definitely will look into the excerpt before I commit. I checked to see if it's lendable - apparently not. Bummer! I'll think more about it...
I finished
this morning 3/18. I liked it but didn't love it. It has gotten so many 5 star reviews so I was a little disappointed I didn't feel the same way about it. I was intrigued by the premise- straight guy who dresses as a woman to perform a nightclub act. But I didn't like him very much. I didn't care for the way he spoke to or acted with the heroine. She deserved better, but it seemed that because of her own insecurities/body issues she kept coming back for more. He does redeem himself in the end. 3.5*
Random Book List #121
After reading all three of the Fifty Shades Trilogy, it's nice to read something that makes fun of them. I did not care for the trilogy and the main character irritated me, I'm glad I'm not the only one who felt this way! Very funny, 5 stars!

I already read it or I would have picked this for the list. I'm currently looking through to see what I have and if it's possible to read or not.
EDIT: Nothing this time. Great list though! :D
Thanks Randi, for telling us about the Freebie! I was going to skip this one but it would be kind of silly to do now.I'll be reading
, since I just got it as a freebie.
Finished
3/28. 3 stars. I liked the first half of the book but the end came very close to ruining it for me!
I finished
on 3/31. I liked the idea of this story of them getting married in Vegas so quickly. I wanted Megan to be a stronger character because I thought she was too soft around Connor. I liked Connor but there were times he was a bit arrogant...I also thought the ending was really funny!
I finished
today 4/12. Well-written but the broken home aspect of it was hard to read, very sad. I did like the evolution of E&P's relationship. 4*
Just finished reading Picture Perfect by Ella Fox and gave it 4.5 stars. It had a pretty rocky start with all the unrealistic events that happened but eventually, I got the hang of it and ended up enjoying it. A good read if you're looking for a besotted-hero
I read
last April 8. I enjoyed it although I found the writer's prose awkward. Somehow the sentences just don't flow. Anyway, the storyline was still good and the ending redeemed the story for me. I give it 4 stars.
read
for
today. 1.5 stars. The writing was incredibly juvenile ("you left a hole in my heart! *feels*). Some of the lines were soooo hokey and cheesy, I actually - for real, for real - cringed. The premise was actually decent; the execution.... smh.
Random Book List #126I read
and it was interesting. I wasn't all that crazy about
but it was better. I liked the main character Scarlet and how tough she was, but I always like those type of characters. I'm giving this one 4 stars.

Ok. Thanks for letting me know. I will read

finished
for
today. 2 stars. My empathy towards the female protagonist in these lovely romances usually makes or breaks it for me. Unfortunately, I could not like this whiny, ungrateful, judgemental chick.
I finished
May 19th. A really nice, easy, sweet read. Maya Banks can do sensual as well as steamy ;)4* and I will be reading the rest of this series.

I definitely enjoyed the story. It's a prequel which got me looking forward to the main story. I love that Lucas got so turned on by the submissive side of Sienna and I don't think the naive Sienna knows she has one! Yummy!
