Carrie | 296 comments Just finished Match Me If You Can. this is perhaps my favorite SEP so far. The dialog was so clever and I enjoyed all the characters. It Had to be You. and Nobody's Baby But Mine were both mostly enjoyable, but had some squicky parts that made me really uncomfortable. Plus I never warmed up to Jane in NBBM. But I loved both Annabelle and Heath in this latest book, and also enjoyed most of the secondary characters. I didn't like Annabelle's family, even at the end, but they were fairly minor in the story. Anna Field's narration was, as always, amazing.

I'm going to take a break on SEP for a while. I bought a few books at the recent audible sale so I'll probably start one of those. Welcome to Temptation was a DNF in paper, but I'm going to give it a try on audio.

Melinda (melindaparmer) | 123 comments Finished The Spymaster's Lady last night - I liked it in print, but in audio I had some quibbles about some pronunciations. You know - those little niggling things that jolt you out of a comfy, enjoyable read. Kirsten Potter is only a C+ reader on this book, for me.

This morning I thought I'd give Dark Lover a go, since I got it at the sale. It's the only one of the series I've read, and my print rating was 4 stars. After about 45 minutes, I'm taking a break - does anyone like this narration? I can't decide whether to stick it out and let him grow on me, or just give it up. He is just narrating - I mean, he's just reading it, and it's not that enjoyable. Given that paranormal isn't my favorite genre, I need some encouragement!

This was my favorite too. Just the right balance of humour, romance, angst, everything!

I LOVED Spymaster's lady and Kristen Potter did an awesome job. I just finished "His at Christmas" by Cathy Maxwell. Had a hard time with the Spanish accent for the hero (not sexy) but the book was still enjoyable. I'm trying to break my romance addiction and have started "The girl Who Played with Fire" (sequel to Girl with the Dragon Tattoo). May have to double-listen with a romance because Steig Larson is a little slooow for me...

I also just finished listening to Infamous. I tought the book was really good . What i enjoyed was the growth of the characters. I also enjoyed that it was told though the eyes of everyone involved past and present. I cried toward the end of the book .

OK, gotta say, I was totally with you on this when I first started listening to the series by J.R. Ward. I'd already read the books in paperback but had a hard time getting into the audio. I stuck with it. He's still not anywhere near a favorite reader but I can see how it'd be difficult to get different voices for ALL of the male characters. I've since listened to books 1-7read by RF. I think it took me about 3 hours to let go and just get into the book. If you haven't read it yet, that will be a big problem. Even if you have ... your mileage may vary!
