I just started the Sirantha Jax series -- I burned through the first two and already ordered the next two on my kindle. I LOVE it. It is nothing like the author's two other series, it is so good. I have heard great things about Mind Games also. I saw that you read Downside Ghosts by Kane -- one of my favorite series. :)
Really thinking of starting Sarantha Jax then. Definitely in search for different, and this seems to be it.Then possibly Mind Games.
Downside Ghosts...awesome, amazing series. :D
Regina, I read it and plan on reading the next book in the series. But boy, Chess to me is not a likable character. And I wish she would have picked Terrible instead of Lex. So, hopefully good things happen for Terrible and Chess in book #2 (crossing my fingers).
I like flawed characters. I like chess alot and I think she is very sympathetic. Sirantha Jax also has a flawed character as a heroine but not as flawed as chess. My understanding is that the heroine in Mind Games has some serious flaws as well.
Jill Kismet is the only series I've read and I really like it so I vote for that one.I have read Ann Aguirre's other series Corine Solomon and I really liked her other series. Sarantha Jax is on my TBR pile.
I can definitely understand why people sometimes don't like Chess, she has her bad moments. Overall though, I think she does pretty good for herself, under the circumstances. I say this as a person who wasn't going to read the series, at first. :). I'm definitely reading Mind Games, the heroine sounds wayyy too interesting not to. THe whole thing is totally different from any other series, from what I've read.
I know that I liked Lilith Saintcrow's other series, Dante Valentine, quite a lot. It's one of my favorites. My hope is that Jill Kismet will be, too.

Not that I've read any of the other series, but I just finished Mind Games and I definitely recommend it. It's a bit different, but very good!

Because of this, I was wondering which of these series I should start, for something new, different, and totally interesting.
Sarantha Jax series--Ann Aguirre
Mind Games---Carolyn Crane
Shadowchasers series--Seressia Glass
Jill Kismet--Lilith Saintcrow.
If you think one of these is best, what did you like about them? Just looking for something different than the usual vampire/werewolf thing.
