Yeah, my brother (Police Officer) yelled my sister was perfect in one of his fights with my mother when he was a teen, and after that we just thought of names for each other. It was my mom who decided that since my sister was Perfect and I was a Present that the boys had to be 'P's too.

lol. I actually make people sign out books and DVDs that they borrow from me. And I'm very strict.

If you want to borrow a book, you have to bring a few in for me to check out. I check to make sure there is no 'substance' on them. No spills. No folded pages (I HATE that). And a few other OCD things.

If you want to borrow a movie, same thing, have to bring me a couple. I check again for the sticky spilled substances. And if there is scratches on the disc you aren't getting one of mine. And movies that have that cover, I take those off.

I don't tell people why I want to 'borrow' their stuff until after I looked at it. Most people are amused...most people.

LOL! That's an interesting strategy. Me? I don't lend my stuff, and my family and friends don't bother asking anymore. Yeah, I'm bad! ;)

I'll loan out a book once......as long as it comes back in good shape, I'll loan to you again! I have very few keepers, but I do a lot of trading on PBS, so books can't have liquid damage or stains or ripped pages. Life happens.....and my coffee has had a couple of run-ins with my books. But, if it happens while in someone else's hands.....not cool!

Oh yeah, I was reading on my best the other day, all stretched out. My dog came running in all glad that the door was open for once (animals aren't allowed in my room) and jumped on the bed, me, and my book. It had just rained so there is a nice muddy print in the book. Not cool, but yeah, these things happen.

My family doesn't ask to borrow things, the only person who likes to really read is my stepdad and he only reads westerns.
