Brittomart If I offered you a back of nabs, would you know what I'm talking about?

And let's talk about other food regionalisms!

message 2: by [deleted user] (new)

NAB is a bank isn't it?

Ken (playjerist) | 721 comments If they’re what I’m thinking they are, they’re also known as cheese crackers: cheesy crackers with peanut butter in between.

message 4: by [deleted user] (new)

I couldn't get google to register anything either.

They would be better with Vegemite. :D

message 7: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) You know, that's what all the men at work say.

message 8: by Phoenix (new)

Phoenix (phoenixapb) | 1619 comments I had no idea what nabs were...Nibs kept popping up in my mind.

message 9: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Nips?

message 10: by [deleted user] (new)

Good one Larry.

message 11: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Which one?

message 12: by Phoenix (new)

Phoenix (phoenixapb) | 1619 comments Nope, these

message 13: by [deleted user] (last edited Oct 18, 2010 07:15PM) (new)

My typing is too slow. The 'Men at Work' reference Larry.

message 14: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Ah. Nibs.

message 15: by Brittomart (new)

Brittomart What are Nibs?

message 16: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Very short Twizzlers.

Well pick it up, pick it up. :)

message 18: by [deleted user] (new)

I am going to blame a slight time delay due to the distance between us.

message 19: by [deleted user] (new)

Are nibs and twizzlers raspberry liquorish?

More like strawberry. I once lived about a mile from where they are made. The smell was often in the air.

message 22: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Sally Sally.

I think Nibs taste like plastic.

message 25: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Strawberry plastic.

Kevin (ksprink) | 11469 comments i would rather have a nilla wafer

RandomAnthony | 14536 comments This thread makes me laugh. I like nilla wafers.

message 28: by Brittomart (new)

Brittomart Yo, nilla wafers ARE THE JUNK. Especially when they are on top of banana pudding. YESSSSSSS

Nilla Wafers always go stale on me.

Félix (habitseven) Sally wrote: "Nilla Wafers always go stale on me."

Well keep them off of you.

message 31: by Kevin (new)

Kevin (ksprink) | 11469 comments i like foods (like nilla wafers) that you don't have to chew if you are too tired. you can just place one on your tongue and it will sort of dissolve and slide down your throat. you can be in a somewhat catatonic state and still eat. dippin dots fit into this category (although they are a total rip) as does ice cream (without nuts, fruit or chunks) and cotton candy

message 32: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 13814 comments 1)Red Vines are the other regional licorice-type twist. Does anyone take a side in the redvine vs. twizzler debate?

2)Gail, is the Australian Red Licorice that I get sometimes at trader joe's actually Australian? It's better than Nibs, Red Vines, or Twizzlers.

message 33: by Brittomart (new)

Brittomart I dont see the big deal about Dippin' Dots

message 34: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 13814 comments Is that the dot ice cream, or the dots on paper? I've only had the dot ice cream once, but it was kind of fun. The dots on paper are boring candy.

message 35: by Jim (new)

Jim | 6484 comments I'm with you Britt, Ice Cream is way better.

message 36: by Kevin (new)

Kevin (ksprink) | 11469 comments the dippin dots are just the cryogenic sugar balls that melt the instant they hit your tongue

I can't answer that, they wouldn't sell it here as 'Australian Red Licorice'. Who makes it?

Félix (habitseven) A meaningful glance.
