who knows a bit about quantum physics?

I'm not a physicist, and I'm dabbling around in something where I can prove that I'm an idiot (as opposed to being suspected of being one).

Who knows enough about particle physics to be able to read half a page of dialogue and say whether it works (at a pinch) in a sci-fi/fantasy setting, or looks like complete fluff, please?
