message 7: by [deleted user] (new)

Wow, big time difference.

Do you think we should do something like, "Share something interesting about yourself", to get people talking and to help us all get to know each other?

message 8: by Emma (new)

Emma (zeeberg) Sure, we can do that :D
Like a topic called "Who are you" or something along those lines?

message 9: by [deleted user] (new)

Yeah, I think that would be good. Do you want to create it, or shall I? :)

message 10: by Emma (new)

Emma (zeeberg) You can, I'm half-busy doing homework

message 24: by Emma (new)

Emma (zeeberg) KARATE! Rocks!

message 25: by [deleted user] (new)

Actually...I think it 'kicks'. :P

Or maybe it 'jabs'...or 'punches'...I could go on all day...but don't worry, I won't :P.

message 26: by Jerry (new)

Jerry | 850 comments that's pretty corny.

message 27: by Jerry (new)

Jerry | 850 comments karate bashes your brains out.

message 28: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm very corny :P.

Does it really bash your brains out? *cringes* Maybe I should do something safer...like read about karate...yeah, that would work.

message 29: by Jerry (new)

Jerry | 850 comments no, we're only allowed to hurt each other a little. i mean, boys get kicked in "that place" and we all get knocked around a little, but it's easier to endure once you've been hit a couple of times. KARATE MAKES YOU TOUGH! AND WHO SAYS NERDS CAN'T BE TOUGH?

message 30: by [deleted user] (new)

Hey, who said I was a nerd? I'm appalled by that accusation. :P

Actually, I'm a huge nerd. But maybe I can kick ass with some karate. You don't have to have, like, a lot of hand-eye coordination, do you? Because I lack that on a massive level.

message 31: by Jerry (new)

Jerry | 850 comments i was saying i was a nerd, actually.
and yes, you do need hand-eye coordination. you can't just flap your arms and hope you hit something. you need balance too. (i love bragging.)

message 32: by [deleted user] (new)

Well, crap. I'm outta luck there. It's a good thing I'm so vertically challenged...and closer to the ground...or I'd have more bruises than I already do. If you need more evidence...read my "Bruised Banner Thinks Rolly Chairs Are Evil"...which, by the way, they *totally* are. :P

message 33: by Jerry (new)

Jerry | 850 comments sorry, ive gtg. maybe i'll talk tomorrow. see u!

message 34: by Emma (new)

Emma (zeeberg) Ah, I'll have to disagree with Donatello. You don't have to have any kind of hand-eye coordination or balance when you start. That's what you're their to learn, you know. I'll tell you, I sucked so completly when I started, you wouldn't believe. I had neither coordination, nor balance. I'm still retarded with a ball, but at least I can kcik some serious butt after the game.

message 35: by [deleted user] (new)

Well, when I got my BBA, my husband bought me a Glock, so I generally have that with me.

Unless some attacker is wicked fast, he won't be able to stop a bullet :P.

But I do still think learning karate would be fun.

message 36: by Emma (new)

Emma (zeeberg) It is! It's not just about defending yourself, it's about finding yourself. Like, did you ever see that movie; The Karate kid? It's really cheesy, but this one guy says; "Karate is in everything you do", and he is right. You kinda come to termes with some stuff, at least I do. Plus, the fact that you can defend yourself in just about any situation, makes one braver.

message 37: by [deleted user] (new)

I'll have to watch that movie. I haven't seen it...either version.

message 38: by Emma (new)

Emma (zeeberg) *Gasps*
The old one is by far the best. But I like the new one too.

message 39: by [deleted user] (new)

Alright, alright. I'll check it out :).

message 40: by [deleted user] (new)

David said, "ok lol
have u heard of the book that is coming out in febuary called angelfire?"

I think I have. Is it the first in *another* series? :P

message 41: by [deleted user] (new)

Hey David,
I just looked up Angelfire, and it looks like it's going to be so good...but it is the first in another series :P. I just can't even pick up a book anymore without finding out it's part of a series. :) But, it's okay, because I've accepted my addiction :P.

message 42: by David (new)

David jones | 135 comments yea it looks awesome xD
u heard of the author darren shan?

message 43: by [deleted user] (new)

He wrote the series with The Vampire's Assistant, didn't he?

message 44: by David (new)

David jones | 135 comments ya

message 45: by [deleted user] (new)

I haven't read any of them. Are they good?

message 46: by David (new)

David jones | 135 comments hell to the yea xD they are definately worth reading

message 47: by [deleted user] (new)

I'll have to check them out :). What other series do you like?

message 48: by David (new)

David jones | 135 comments hmm, eragon, alex rider, demonata, umm harry potter, and others lolz
ooh and maximum ride

message 49: by [deleted user] (new)

Hm...I've read Eragon. I have Eldest, but I haven't read it yet. I haven't heard of Demonata. Harry Potter is a favorite of mine. I haven't read much of Maximum Ride, but I've heard they're good.

I have read and loved these (I'm really not as pathetic as I sound :P):

The Immortals Series
Vampire Academy
Blue Bloods
The Hunger Games
The Mortal Instruments
The Infernal Devices
House of Night (it's a love/hate relationship)
Wolves of Mercy Falls

Those are just the ones I can think of right now, but I'm sure there are more :P. I seriously don't go looking for series, but I'm fated to them or something :P.

message 50: by David (new)

David jones | 135 comments ooh ive also read the hunger games book but they were ok.
