She Walks
The air is chill,
a breeze is blowing.
She steps outside,
pulls her jacket close.
Her hands under her arms,
her cheeks apple red,
she walks along
as leaves fall down.
The bold purples and yellows
of fall chrysanthemums
contrast the reds and browns
of leaves on the ground.
Granny Smith apples
covered with caramel
and pumpkin spice aromas
fill the air.
But she keeps walking
oblivious to the world
of color and beauty
trying to keep her head
out of the wind...

Kristen: The description is great, with a lot of movement (pulls jacket close, walks oblivious, aroma of spices fill the air). I'd probably wonder why she's walking along "oblivious to the world of color and beauty" if if weren't now starving for a Granny Smith apple covered with caramel.

M, she's covering her face from the wind, so instead of seeing the beauty, she's hiding from it. That's what I was trying to say at the end, but maybe it wasn't very clear...
