I am currently reading The Way of Kings and looking forward to discussing this foundation to a new epic series!

Currently reading it. A little over 200 pages in so far. It's probably going to take me a while to finish.
Just finished reading it a couple weeks ago and enjoyed it immensely. I'll probably go back over some sections as discussions proceed online, it was too complex not to need a little review after only one read. Looking forward to the discussion!
Loved it. Admit I listened to it though... so I can't complain about aching arms or eyes. Keep me in the loop!
Completed 3 weeks ago, TWoK definitely has me intrigued! That this is the first novel in what is to be Brandon's epic series, he succeeded in piquing my curiosity as to just how the next novel will progress! I look forward to discussing it with others.
I read this the first ten days of September (click here to read my review). Very good start to a new epic fantasy series. And I loved the interior illustrations and cover art.
I read it after Jon did and found it just ok. Was aggravated by some of the crazy rules of the culture that were never explained, found it hard to identify with the characters, and a few plot holes bothered me.I'm in the minority, however, so if you're a Sanderson fan, read and enjoy.
Seems that Brandon paid for those interior illustrations out of his own pocket, so that is a bonus.
I am currently listening to and enjoying it. At 45 hours long I will log some miles in on the treadmill... Just finished Part 1 of 7. This is also my first Sanderson so no preconceptions or expectations on my part.

I finally finished listening to the audiobook. It was very long, but quite enjoyable. By the last 15 hours, I couldn't stop listening.
Recently read this and am a huge fan everyone reading it is in for a real treat. I shall be up for the discussion in December, may even do a re read to be a little more fresh in my mind.
Big book!! I've heard nothing but great things and I loved Mistborn so I'm going to start reading this right away.
I'll be one of the oddballs and not read this book. I read 'Warbreaker' and it was ok, but didn't wow me, and I'm not interested in starting another epic fantasy series.
Got about 200 pages left and enjoying a lot. To those that didn't enjoy it, don't fret. Different strokes and all... A lot of people love the Stephen Erickson books. Tried to read those and just couldn't get into them.
Big book, but not too heavy since I'm reading it on an ereader. Only complaint is that the maps and artwork are hard to read. At least on the Sony reader.
I've got it on reserve at the library. I'm...19th on the hold list for 7 holdable copies...
whatever that means.
I have a copy in hand. No guarantee my schedule will handle the complete read inside of the time frame, but I'll try. I have read Elantris and Mistborn by this author, so at least I have a clue, what to expect.
It was great. very much what you would expect from him. have read all his books and can't #*&@# wait for tues when towers of midnight comes out. ok I need a recomendation for a new author. read everything from jordan, goodkind, sanderson, martin. also read all of terry brooks as a filler. what would be the next best author like these masters. was thinking about Patrick Rothfuss. any help. I can read one to hold me over till tuesday. Thanks
I am reading both Elantris and Mistborn in rotation and am enjoying both. Got to see if Borders or Barnes and Noble have Way of Kings or if my library has copies.
Jason, if you want something challenging I would go with Erikson, and his Malazan series. Gardens of the Moon is the first book, but be warned, he doesn't hold your hand and the first half of the book can be overwhelming. Once you get through that first half, it is quality stuff though.
I love all of Brandon's fantasy books (his MG Alcratraz is enjoyable, but not my favourite) and TWoK was no exception. I read it last week

I really enjoyed it. It will be a fun book to discuss as it's the first of an epic series. So many questions after the 1st book.
Age of Kings was a great start to Sanderson's series, IMO. I have to say, it was a bit slow paced, in that not as much happened in the 1000 pages as I thought it would. But it was interesting character development and an enjoyable and satisfying outcome for the story so far. I don't really need things to be horribly realistic, like they are in GRRM books. I would say this book has sort of a happy ending, which I like.I have just come off of Jim Butcher's Alera series. His books are so action packed, it was quite a contrast to pick up Kings. But I really enjoyed both.
I finished this one last week. I'll chime in on the discussion when I get a chance and am looking forward to Brandon's participation.
I finished last night, and I agree with John...it was a lot of set-up, but I think that was justified and I am definitely interested in the series and the characters going forward. I'm also looking forward to discussing it with Brandon and the rest of you in December.
Planning to read, I'll try to push it up a few notch on my to-buy list so I can join in on the discussion. Loved Mistborn, and I'm pretty sure this one is going to be awesome too! :)
Read it and it will be the first discussion I'll be participating in. Posted my review and have been looking forward to book two since the moment I finshed.
Currently reading The Dawning of Power series but having a tough time getting into it. Next up is Avempartha
I envy you Bryce! I enjoyed the Crown Conspiracy, but Avempartha was the turning point where I knew I HAD to read the whole series!
Jeanne wrote: "Just finished it last night. Loved it! Can't wait to discuss!"With new perspective and having nearly completed my concordance of key terminology for TWoK, I'm seriously looking forward to discussing this novel with others!
I wasn't planning on reading this right away. I do own it, but I was saving it for after A Memory of Light (Wheel of Time 14) is released. I know now that the second in this series won't be out for probably a couple years and I didn't want to wait that long. Although, I will probably almost definitely change my mind since I love Brandon, lol.
