Wilhelmina Jenkins | 2049 comments A quick comment on "Robert E. Lee Is Dead", one of my favorite stories in the collection. Bill, you saw CeCe's final action as a betrayal. While it was certainly not courageous to leave Geena behind, I think that CeCe did exactly what Geena wanted her to do. Geena knew that her life would only be marginally worse if she took the blame, while CeCe's future would be wrecked. As Geena said, "This isn't little-kid s*** anymore." By taking the blame, Geena got to do one last, great thing for her friend. If CeCe had stayed, I think that Geena would have been furious.

Thanks, Bill! Great discussion of a great book.

Cheryl (bookaddict4real) | 14 comments I was lucky enough to have checked this book out, but would have been happy to own my own copy.I especially
like the first story. I felt the teenage girls were
believable, even if we didn't like the choices they made.
