TEAM THREAD: Team #5 Furious Five

And nothing wrong with Bayou Moon. Part of it is I like the characters in On the Edge better.

I liked this book much better then the first in the series. I thought Kitty was much stronger in this book and did a great job getting her self out of trouble. It does seem that she attracts a lot of problems without even trying too. I wish there would have been a little more Cormac in this book, but oh well I'm sure we'll see more of him in the future.

Good Job!! :D

This was my Urban Dark Fantasy read

Unholy Magic ***

The biggest problem I had with this book is the pacing. If it didn't drag so much, probably would earn more stars. I thought the plot was well thought-out and all came together nicely, I'm loving Terrible, and want to read the next one just to get more of him.

Kitty Goes to Washington ****

Good solid UF series so far.
- Kitty has definitely toughened up in this book, while still maintaining her submissive nature, which could be difficult. I'm liking her a lot.
- Vaughn adds her paranormal twist to historical/folklore tidbits which is pretty interesting.
- No more little POV blurbs from Kitty's werewolf, so yay for that!
- The story was a tad busy, but all fun to read.

Finished Dangerous Highlander on Dec 31st. 3 stars.
Dangerous Highlander is the first in the Dark Sword series by Donna Grant. It follows Cara and Lucan. Cara is an orphan living in a nunnery in 1600's Scotland. Lucan lives with his two brothers in a castle next to Cara's village. One day Cara goes picking for mushrooms next to the castle and one thing leads to another, and she's being rescued by Lucan.
Lucan and his brothers are Warriors, possessed by a god. This makes them immortal and very powerful. They each cope with it in different ways. There is an evil Druid who is trying to capture the brothers. Deidre, the evil Druid, also wants to capture Cara, for reasons not even Cara knows about yet. Protectiveness, lust, and fighting ensue.
I found the world building in this book very interesting. The story between the two main characters, is one I've read many times, but the last half of the book was good. As expected in the first book of a series, there is a lot of set-up for future books. I will keep my eye out for the next in the series.

Shelleyrae: Firewalker COMPLETED
Vivian: Unholy Magic COMPLETED
Sallie: Every Which Way But Dead
Jackie: Crave COMPLETED
Amanda: Dangerous Highlander COMPLETED
#7 UF-PARANORMAL
Shelleyrae: The Iron King COMPLETED
Vivian: Kitty Goes to Washington COMPLETED
Sallie: Burned COMPLETED
Jackie: Taken by Midnight
Amanda: Bayou Moon

In this second installment of The Fallen Angels series Isaac is the soul who Jim thinks he needs to save. Isaac is on the run and making a living as cage fighter who ends up in jail and has an instant attract to his lawyer Grier. I liked how in this book we got to see the strong bond between Jim, Eddie, and Adrian and what they do to protect and take care of each other. I am looking forward to the next book and how Jim will fight Devina.
