Welcome! I know what you mean. I try to leave out spoilers as well, sometimes it's hard.

Great review Diane. I loved Mockingjay too and felt the ending was appropriate to what the trilogy was about. It's not credible to have a hearts and roses ending in a world that had so much cruelty towards it's children. I think the choices made at the end were the correct ones and not made by default as someone said in a review, it had always been the only choice really. I felt the book left it's readers sad but hopeful too.
I loved Mockingjay also. It was pretty intense. I even got my Husband to read it - which is huge - and he really loved it. Great reviews Miss and Diane :)

? I've seen lots of great reviews of that series (another one I haven't started yet....)?

"I really like the Morganville Vampires series... I will warn you, though, that like her Weather Warden series, some of the books have cliff hangers. Less of an issue for you since the following books are already out, but it was incredibly frustrating at the time :)
Alpha is in the mail on its way to me, so I haven't started it yet... but I've really enjoyed that series as well. It's one that I think has gotten better as it goes along.
For the VAMPIRES-WEREWOLVES slot: Fade Out by Rachel Caine ****/5 finished 10/25/10
I really enjoyed this book in the Morganville Vampires series. With a major storyline arc wrapping up the book prior, I wasn't sure what to expect with this one, but I was pleasantly surprised. I especially liked delving a little deeper into Myrnin's back story a bit. I also appreciate that this book doesn't end on a major cliffhanger :)
I've heard that series has some cliffhanger endings, good to know that one doesn't. Maybe I'll gather 1-7 (if possible) to read, that way I won't end on one. LOL! :)
I4: Vampire-Werewolf
10/26/10 ★★★★This is a collection of 5 short stories about Sookie. Four of them have been published in other collections, with one new one here. Ms. Harris also provided a timeline for where they fit in the series.
The stories themselves are light and fun, and Sookie uses her detecting skills in a couple of them...light mystery and paranormal is always a good combination. The two that stuck in my mind are Fairy Dust (about Claudine, Claude) etc., and Lucky (featuring her insurance agent).

Love exciting ends...but waiting a year after a cliffhanger....not fun!
For my Vampires-Wearwolves slot I read:

Feast of Fools is the 4th in the Morganville Series by Rachel Caine. I love this series!
This installment was really good – with a lot of further character development as well as a huge cliff-hanger ending. The actual climactic scene was done well and had me speed reading through it.
Now I have to wait for the next one to arrive from Book Depository :(
HiEven though this is super early - I just thought I'd give you guys head's up that I may not be reliable for the shelves on 20 Dec or 3 Jan.
I'm travelling to the US for those weeks (yeeyyy - first time - so little kinda excited sorry) and although I'll have my laptop - I: a) dont know if I'll be able to get online and find out what shelves are released; b) dont know if I'll have any reading time while doing the tourist thing; c) dont know how easy it'll be to get appropriate books from where I am in that time frame.
I'll do my best - but not sure I'll be of much use for those two weeks sorry.

Have a fun trip! Will also double-check with Bingo Queen Steph on how that will work/how to work around your very fun vacation!
Feeling a bit envious...lol...haven't been stateside in enough years that I need two hands to count...and Christmas visits to the states I now track in decades! Really hope you have a WONDERFUL time!
It's great Shannon, have a fun trip! It should be ok with us for that period since we need 4/5 members to read and review for us to get the little pink dot. lolI'll be reading
for this shelf just after i finish Clockwork Angel (yes, i caved in and i'm reading it now!) :)
Not to worry, Shannon. Have a GREAT time and enjoy! But, Miss is right, only 4/5 needed for the shelf stamp. :) Once we get into the holiday season, we may need to make some adjustments for vacations, family time, etc.
For now, just have fun planning your trip! :)
Miss, I'm anxious to read that one. I really liked Beautiful Creatures. I look forward to your review.
Thank you Steph, I'm really curious about Beautiful Darkness too, I have no idea what could happen next.
I finished The Awakening today and give it 3 stars. I'm enjoying this series. The little group is interesting (they squabble like siblings) and I like seeing their powers grow. More of the mystery was solved with some surprises and I'm looking forward to the next book.
CONGRATULATIONS, Just One More! You now have an updated BINGO card with a stamp on 'vampires-werewolves'.

Good Job!! :D
Hey, it's so great, we have another shelf stamp, congratulations everyone! Looks like i'm the last one left to read and review. I'm reading Ruthless now and I'll get on with it right after. (Since Clockwork Angel was a two-word title, i needed a one or three-word book for RRR Tournament)
Just One More...is...smokin! I'm really enjoying the reads, and reading the reviews! My TBR is NOT getting smaller...lol!

That you are! Congrats! And, I never promised TBR shrinkage. LOL!
Hi all! So are you enjoying new November challenges? Getting closer to Monday...and our new shelf! LOL...just dying to start on the next one :D
Lovin the Novemvber challenges Judithe! and it seems to take forever to get to each 2nd Monday - I check the date a couple of times a week just in case I've mixed the dates up :) 3 more sleeps
To celebrate our newest members, I decided to announce our next shelf a bit early!
