name games...what's your other name?

So has anyone used a "bar name" to give to guys or strangers and ever get busted? I laugh out loud because I tend to not go out that often. But when I was in college and first out (many moons ago) I use the name "Kaitlyn" or "Kat". Just the other day at work I ran into someone from going out and only knew me as "Kat" and they screamed my "name" and tried to introduce themselves to me again. I just about died!!! Luckily I played it off well to some co-workers as its my grandmother's name and said it had been a nickname growing up. Anyone else had this happen to them? I still use my "name" on-line for a non-email receiving address/log-on for when I do research and do not want IM's.

In college going out Id give out the name Prysilla. It was always my stand by if I was talking to a guy or someone I didn't really want to know beyond that moment. It was great because I didn't have to stammer and hum about it, it just slid off my tongue. I feel a little bad it was that easy to lie about. But it was a safety thing in my mind.

Hmmm....I don't remember lying about my name, my collage was relatively small so I think it would be hard to get away with (my "going out time" was over shortly after collage). But I would give a bogus phone number.....Dominos Pizza. I was actually surprised who many collage guys did NOT recognize that number!

When I was out and didn't like the guys hitting on me I would tell them my name was Hortense. They believed me. Boy does drinking make you dumb!

never did the fake name....can't think that fast LOL but ALWAYS gave out the fake number!!! My cousin gives people MY number that she doesn't like.....wonderful huh?? When we were younger and prowlin around alot I would get these phone calls from these random dudes and think "god how drunk was I last night?? I know I didn't meet anyone named Phoenix!!!"

I don't think I ever lied about my name to a guy or gave him a fake # ~ I wasn't smart enough to do that!!!

A lot of times I do that when I'm returning stuff to stores though!

I have two alter egos that I use. One for fun and one for sneaky business. :)

I only used a fake name once, Mona. And it was completely off the cuff. I introduced myself and a friend, gave a fake name also. We still call each other by those names occasionally, it's fun!

Oh sneaky business sounds more impressive than it actually is.

I don't know how computer savvy people are and I don't know how much detail is provided to people (like when someone is looking at your profile on whatever website, are they notified that someone looked at you?), so when I want to look up things on people, I have a fake name, fake business, fake account, fake e-mail, etc.

I told you - not very interesting.
