UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments YAY, Dina! I'll put you down for 3, and if you read more I'll add them :)

(I think that's nutritionist. I hate to be anal, but some spellings just get to me.)

Welcome to the pigout. Glad to have you aboard.

message 210: by Dina (new)

Dina (missdina) | 718 comments Thanks for pointing that out, Mollie. :) I'm anal too and hate making spelling mistakes, but sometimes they escape my watchful eyes.

message 219: by E. (new)

E. (dilawrosas) | 507 comments Okay, I'm still in the "maybe" camp and I won't really decide if I'll commit or not until this weekend. I've been perusing the challenges that has been proposed here and life has intruded in some challenges while some were too much for me due to other obligations.

That said, I still have life intruding that restricts me from reading a lot of the leisure books that I want to read, but since this challenge gave me the option of at least achieving a goal that I can accomplish, I'm tempted to participate.

That said, if I were to participate (and I'm over 50% leaning toward the participation) then I would pick this option:

#1. Zachary Bronson's Barely a Bite - Choose 1 "dish" from a "food group" you've never tried before.

Zachie's meal is attainable right now for me. So if I were to participate, I'll choose one of the "dishes" that are mentioned here (now, I believe that someone mentioned that so long as the book is in the series, it will be okay, so I'll be putting the ones that I hadn't read yet):

Savor the Moment by Nora Roberts
Burning Wild by Christine Feehan
Running Hot by JAK
Heartbreaker by Julie Garwood
The Darkest Pleasure by Gena Showalter

Again, still not sure right now. Will have a definitive answer this weekend (and WAY before the first day of November).

Hey Dhes,
Which one do you want to start with on Nov 1?

message 221: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments It doesn't matter to me, Alycia. You decide and I'll be there. :)

message 222: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments Sounds good, E. I'll put you down for 1 "dish" and you let me know if you need to bow out. I understand that life can be a challenge, even without the reading challenges.

message 232: by D.G. (new)

D.G. Well, I got my Julie Garwoods so depending on what I get in the Pick It For Me Challenge, I may read The Secret for this challenge. I'm sooo excited!!

message 233: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments I can't wait to see what you end up with. I'm wavering between reading Rough, Raw and Ready (Rough Riders, #5) by Lorelei James which I've been DYING to read, and Simply Sexual (House of Pleasure, #1) by Kate Pearce which has been sitting on my bookshelves far too long.

message 234: by D.G. (new)

D.G. Rough, Raw and Ready is my favorite so far of the series so you can't go wrong there. But I know a lot of my friends really liked Simply Sexual so I think you'll like it.

message 235: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments Thanks, DG. I've heard wonderful things about both.... Maybe I'll read both! LOL

message 236: by Bekah, Fellow Kleypasaholic (new)

Bekah (bekah317) | 2750 comments I got all of my books, except 1, for the challenge in the mail today!!!!!!!!!

Gettin excited...

message 237: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments Nice, Bekah!!!

message 238: by D.G. (new)

D.G. I won't be able to start right away with this challenge - I need to mail a book by 11/8 and I still need to read it. But as soon as I finish that book, I'll start one for these, most likely a historical.

Can't wait for November to start!!

message 239: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments I'm getting excited too, D.G. I hope this challenge ends up being successful, and that everyone enjoys it. I know it's more limiting than some, but at least we can read as few as 1 book.

Mollie *scoutrmom* (scoutrmom) | 170 comments The public library already delivered 3 of my books despite my trying to 'freeze' the requests, so I'm having trouble waiting until Monday to begin. Probably stay up past midnight tomorrow for the treat.

message 241: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments LOL! Mollie, we're so addicted!

Mollie *scoutrmom* (scoutrmom) | 170 comments UniquelyMoi *~*Dhestiny*~* wrote: "LOL! Mollie, we're so addicted!"

Yes, we are. I needed some good escapism, so I have not been able to read the horror stories for my October challenge. I'm going to use them for my classics challenge early next year.

For my happy escapism, I'm re-reading
Dark Challenge (Carpathians, #5) by Christine Feehan

message 243: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments Oh, I love Christine Feehan's Carpathians! I just (within the last month) finished Dark Slayer (Carpathians, #20) by Christine Feehan and Dark Peril (Carpathians, #21) by Christine Feehan

message 244: by E. (new)

E. (dilawrosas) | 507 comments As I mentioned before, I'm going to post if I'm participating or not. And I finally made my decision.

Yes.

Again, one of the books from the list that I put up. Who knows, I might end up reading another book from the list or something else. Though it really depends on what the month has in store for me. Obligations, you know.

message 245: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (last edited Oct 30, 2010 10:36PM) (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments I know, E. I hate it when life gets in the way of reading. So I'll put you down for 1.

I read each the week they came out. Christine Feehan, Nora Roberts and Jayne Ann Krentz are the only authors that I must buy even if it is only available in hardcover. Everyone else I use the public library, and if it turns out to be a keeper I get a copy secondhand.

If Jeaniene Frost released hardcovers, I'd probably buy those right away also.

message 247: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments JR Ward, Christine Feehan and Sherrilyn Kenyon are the ones I'll buy in hardcover, though that said, I havne't read the last three Kenyon books I bought yet, and 2 are out in paperback now. I might have to rethink my Kenyon buying.

message 248: by D.G. (new)

D.G. I still remember the last hardcover I bought in 2004 and I'm still mad the book didn't turn out as good as I thought, LOL! Now I'm planning to buy Day 2 of the Kingkiller Chronicles that comes out next year in Hardback. But mostly I'll buy it because I want to support the author who's a young guy and it took him like 4 years to write the sequel. :)

message 249: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments What really chaps my hide is when they switch to hard cover 1/2 way through a series. Chaps me up but good!

message 250: by D.G. (new)

D.G. I think Nalini Singh will do that with Hawk's book. No way I'm buying that one!
