There is a book called Shade by Jerri Smith Ready.
I wonder if this is the one she was talking about. It was absolutely amazing. There's nothing like ghosts and hot Scottish guys to make a great story :).

Oh, Fariha. Must we agree on everything? Yes, I want to buy books on tape . . . dictated by a Scottish man. *swoons*
Oh, god. If Damon had a Scottish accent...

No, I haven't read the books. They're sitting on my bookshelf. I just don't want to read them until the show ends.

Hm...I may do that. After NaNo though :P.

Vampire Academy is just about the most intriguing vampire series I've ever read. The titles for the first two were a little silly, but the story is amazing.
The only criticism I really have about the sequels: She repeats herself a lot. Like, laws and history get repeated several times. Maybe it's because I read them all back to back, but I thought, "Did you really need to repeat that here?"
Otherwise, awesome books series.

I thought they were. Just Vampire Academy and Frostbite. I like Shadow Kiss, Blood Promise, Spirit Bound, and Last Sacrifice. The titles are actually what kept me from reading the series for a long time.
Love the story line. Amazing books.
