Mickey. I will not read books by this cold hearted murderess. Now this has nothing to do with her personal life. I am the last person to judge anyone's personal life. Also far too liberal to be judgmental. Yet this is not about her personal life. It is a about an overt act of horrific violence and my belief that she should be shunned. Same with that pathetic and psychotic fascist and anti-Semite Ezra Pound. Will not read anything by him either. My choice

Life is short. Why should I waste my time on the books of a killer? Why give her the gift of my time? Sure, if she was a brilliant gift to humanity, a Wagner or a Strauss, maybe I would be tempted. But Wagner and Strauss espoused odious ideas only. They did not carry them out. Perry, that is the killer Juliet, did! She took a brick and hammered in a woman's head. She got off with just a few years in jail and still lies about the facts of the case. She hid for years from her past and is still hiding vis a vis her lies about the case.

She claims to be religious now. Please! Has this piece of trash ever given a penny to the handicapped daughter of her victim? I suspect not.

Read her? This 'thing'" who says of the woman whose face she bashed in, 'I didn't really know her".

Read her!? I don't think so,

Being gay is vastly different from taking a rock and bashing in a woman's head.

Thank you!

Wanna know about Perry, and also her lies, read "Anne Perry and the Murder of the Century".

Archie Yikes ! Even I have the same moral conundrum. I just finished one of her books and liked it and decided to google a bit more on the author. Didn't realize this about her past. I don't know whether I can read another book of hers or not.

Mickey Hoffman If we avoided creative works by humans who have shown themselves to lack good values, etc. we would miss out on much. Her books are good but not the best, so you won't miss anything superb but I don't think it matters morally.

To read or not to read? Whatever you like. But I will neither read her nor buy her books. I will not give her a penny. She bashed a woman's head in with a brick. She has never expressed remorse. She left a mentally disabled child without a mother. Has she, Ms Perry, given a dime to that child's care? I suspect not.

I wish she had been hanged. But I am old-fashioned. And shame on the Mormon monolith for giving this monster "cover".

I agree: nothing more I can say that you haven't.
