this could be the story of Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? which was turned into the movie Bladerunner. I'm sure there are others, but that's one where they were "testing" to make sure that no android was able to succeed in "passing" as human. It could, also be I, Robot or one of the other books in that series.

Donna (deety) | 24 comments It's been awhile since I've read it, but I think this is a Phillip K. Dick story called "Impostor." It's in several of his short story collections, including The Collected Stories of Philip K. Dick 2: We Can Remember it for You Wholesale.

This Is Not The Michael You're Looking For It's definitely not something by Asimov ("I, Robot" or others). It could be a PKD story, although I'm pretty sure it is neither "Do Androids.." nor "Impostor". He wrote a series of short stories where androids impersonate humans, but I don't think there was ever anything quite as prosaic as coming up with a rhyme for orange.
