I'm reading Fire Burn and Cauldron Bubble by HP Mallory. Has anyone read this? It's cute, but the heroine is a little too trusting.

It's really good. Make sure to read book 1 Mind Games first.

"It's really good. Make sure to read book 1 Mind Games first." Of course. That's one of my big things, reading a series in order. I look at it this way:
It was written that way for a reason.
Lol. But I'll definitely make sure to read it soon
Right now I'm reading
and re-reading
. I'm not usually one who reads more than one book at a time, but I'm trying to get both done. LOL.

Currently reading Catching Fire, having just finished The Hunger Games. I love it. Awesome series, but I'm gald I waited for Mockingjay to come out before I started
I just finished Alpha by Rachel Vincent and Venom by Jennifer Estep. I have quite a few in my "to read" pile including Bayou Moon, Red Headed Stepchild and Magic Bites (I havent read any of the Kate Daniels series but have heard good things about it)
I'm looking forward to the new Nalini Singh Play of Passion and The Iron Duke by Meljean Brook but have found recently release dates in the UK seem to be a bit later than the rest of the world. Grrrrrr!!!!
Hi Catie, I agree about Alpha. I loved the series and was desperate to read to Alpha, in the end I thought it was a bit of a limp ending overall. I didnt love it but I didn't hate it, it was just okish. Everyone else in the world seems to be raving about it, I thought it was just me being picky!!!!
I finished Magic Bites last night, it jumped to the top of my to read pile after the comments above.I LOVED IT!!!!! I am desperately waiting for my postman to deliver Magic Burns (the second in the series)
I also like Nalini Singh and have just seen the new cover for Hawke's book which resulted in mild heart palpitations on my part.
I recently finished Mind Games by Carolyn Crane. Wow. Definitely a series for fans of the Downside books.
Bells -- you've read the second one right? I hear the plot gets better. Do we get more Packard? I like bastards like that. LOL.

I just finished Immortal Beloved Everlasting LifeImmortal Beloved it was really fantastic, read more like and adult book than a YA.I am jealous too, I have Pale Demon pre-ordered, sniff, Jan is so far away

Thanks for the recommendation of Mind Games; it had been on my shelf for a while and I am so glad that I finally picked it up. I just started it, but I am loving Justine.
I'm actually on the Drizzt Do'Urden series by R.A. Salvatore. I'd always (like, for the past twenty years, almost) been vaguely interested in it, but hadn't done it. A coworker of mine gives a book to another coworker once a week, and spoke highly of the series. I may well do Ender's Game next, per my brother's recommendation.
John Scalzi has also come AMAZINGLY highly recommended by a number of very disparate people rather randomly over the past few months, so he's going on my list, too.
As much as I never ever ever wanted an e-reader, I couldn't find a print copy of City of Ghosts, so I downloaded it to the (free) Kindle app on my phone (T-mobile Samsung Vibrant), and I actually have found that I really, REALLY enjoy it.
Michelle - 'Mind Games' is great and I def think people who like Downside Ghosts will like it. The second one in the series is great too ('Double Cross') and has an AMAZING twist at the end!!Diana - 'Ender's Game' is one of my new favorites, it was really amazing. Disturbing in some ways but a great dystopian feel.

You should definitely try Carolyn Crane's Disillusionist series. The first book is Mind Games. It's great urban fantasy.

Thanks for the suggestions. I've actually read all but Nalini Singh's Guild Hunter series. Today I'm reading Sins of the Heart

I really loved Eve Silver's Otherkin trilogy -- especially the second book Sins of the Soul.
