It doesn't need to be deleted, what it needs is to have the author disambiguated (which I did).
I know this isn't the place but I didn't want to clog up a new thread. rivka, we talked before and I mentioned seeing some edits where it says none were done and I can't find where we talked about it. I told you I'd show you when I found one and here is one: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/85...
This was incorrectly NAB'd and it said, before mine of course, that there were no librarian changes. This couldn't have come in NAB'd... unless I'm wrong?
I have found a number of such incidents. Never a listed edit. Maybe these happened when the big crash happened a couple of months ago and a lot of history was lost? Just a thought.

There's even a comment on the "bad" book saying it's the wrong author.
I also checked Nichole Mones' website (http://nicolemones.com/books-and-arti...) and the book isn't listed there either.

Christina, you can only delete editions which will merge into the correct editions when deleted, which means that they need to be combined first. Combine that edition with the correct version and then you'll be able to delete it.

I remember rivka saying that shouldn't be like that anywhere and I told her that I'd seen it a handful of times but of course didn't come across it until now. Strange.

Author merges do not show up as edits in individual book logs. Someone had merged Books LLC with NOT A BOOK. That switched over all books listed at that point by that author, but would not be reflected in each of the (potentially 100s or 1000s) of individual book logs.
I am not aware of any crash that lost "lots of data". I believe we lost a couple hours' worth a few months back, but that's a vanishingly small amount of data, most of which was reconstructed.

That book had reviews - so the misspelled author profile needed to be merged with the correct spelling (I had to hunt a bit to find that), then the book combined with the other editions - THEN deleted so the reviews wouldn't be lost. Got it.

Got them all except the Kindle edition of the Obama Diaries which seemed to be a unique edition.
Need a super to delete:Room
ISBN-10 mistakenly had letter I instead of number 1 in 9781554688, and had no ISBN-13. The ISBN-10 was apparently meant to be ISBN-13 9781554688319 with a corresponding ISBN-10 of 1554688310. That edition already has a separate entry. Thanks!
