Has anyone read A.J. Menden?

I picked up Tekgrrl in a thrift store today. I noticed it's part of a series. Do they ahve to be read in order?

I have only read the first in that series, but my husband is starting with the second and hasn't complained of that particular issue.

I read Tekgrrl without reading the first book and it was fine. There's a romance that started in the first book but it doesn't really do anything with the 2nd book.

I truly enjoyed Phenomenal Girl 5 and Tekgrrl. They were different and refreshing. I have Menden's newest on my kindle waiting to be read. It's titled Sorceress, Interrupted.

I read Tekgrrl and it was okay. It was recommended to me by a Goodfriend. I didn't like it enough to want to read the rest of the series.

I actually liked the first in Menden's series better than Tekgrrl. For superhero romances, I found Estep's series and the Kittridge/Kessler series more consistent.
