It's not pathetic. Not many people can write songs and if it helps you feel better then you should keep doing it.

You know what I don't like? Biscuits in those cans you have to peel the paper then twist for it to pop open. I hate those things! They're like a ticking time bomb and you never know when they are going to pop! I can't tell you how many times they've popped in my hand! That's why I like making biscuits by hand.

Hi, I am a Library Assistant at a school and I recently started a book club (is December recent enough?. The members agreed to meet weekly and I really didn't mind considering most are new to the school and perhaps the only way they belong is with a book and people who share their interest of reading. It went well with the first book, everyone was committed, but now that the school year is almost over and perhaps too many projects and homework has gotten into their way plus the second book that was chosen was much of their interest this week's meeting was a no-no! It was also agreed to make other things related to books such as crafts and research to build on background and while I get praised by teachers, club members seem to lack the spirit ... :(
Any ideas? In my disappointment I even thought of breaking up the club. Next week's meeting has to be to reevaluate our rules and perhaps change the reading of a same book to let them read their own choices .... What do you think?

Hmm, quite the predicament you're in Leyla. I bet the situation is pretty frustrating but I'm just going to go ahead and say you should change it from reading the same book and let them read their own. My library book club I go to gives a genre for each month and we pick a book that we like or want to read for the genre. It's simple and easy. And when we all meet up we'll go in a random order and give a summary of the book and why we like it. I hope that helps.

Ok, so I recently joined this group so I'm kinda new...hiii. (:

my name is Camilla and I'm 14 in Los Angeles. I'm in 9th grade, and I go to a public school after five years in private school...and honestly private school really sucked. I was there on financial aid and so I couldn't relate to a lot of the people there who were really and stuff so I didn't make a lot of friends :( also because of that I didn't get a lot of attention from guys. I always felt that I wasn't very pretty while everyone else was. This year I didn't know a lot of people at my school. i met all these guys and they started coming up to me and talking to me. It really freaked me out. And a week ago a guy actually asked me out on a date! That's never happened before and generally creeped me out. I don't really understand this feeling and was pretty scared. yeah....more later.

My friend likes a boy and I'm friends with this boy.
the entire grade is pressuring them to get together. I like this boy and am very good friends with him. (He doesn't know I like him. :( ) Yesterday in class he told me that he didn't like her. He only likes her as a friend. Now my friend and I are going to the fair to meet up with a group of like 12 people and he'll be there. Everyone wants them to ride rides together, but my friend doesn't want to be embarrassed. AGH!! Such a predicament! :o
