RandomAnthony | 14536 comments I'm at about a six because if I get a lot done I can leave earlier than usual. But I have to pee and get coffee first. You?

Well here it is 10:49pm, I really should be going to bed not working, so I'm about a O.5 :)

I should also add that it is Friday evening.

Jim | 6484 comments I'm at about a 3. No desire to be at work today, have a couple things I need to do, but can't even leave early as my wife has the car(we usually ride share, and my son has the other car) today so she can go get a root canal.

message 4: by RandomAnthony (new)

RandomAnthony | 14536 comments At least you're not getting the root canal.

Hm. Gail brings up a good point...if you're not "at work" you might be in the negative scale...:)

I'm a 1. It's Friday, I've been here for half an hour and have already completed my daily duties, other than the client deposit that I cannot do until after the mail comes at 12:30. That means that I have the next 4 1/2 hrs to screw around on here, play scrabble on my iPhone and read...maybe watch some netflix. If Gary is golfing, I get to leave at 1pm...if not, I sit for another 2 1/2 hrs doing nothing. It's Friday! Wish I could sleep...

Jonathan Lopez | 4726 comments I'm at 6 or 7. I'm working against a 5:00 pm deadline for an article that's almost finished, so not only is the end in sight but I feel I don't need to sprint to the finish line. I always find it much easier to work this way--with no feelings of intense pressure and/or impending doom.

Lori 0

I don't wanna do anything. Except lounge.

But there's many errands I need to do. I'm doing some crisis management, what is not an emergency so I can put it off, except luxuriate in slothing?

Jim | 6484 comments Misha wrote: "I'm on vacation today! In your face, working people. ;)"

That was harsh :-)

message 10: by Lori (new)

Lori So what are you gonna do today, Misha?

I've now been up for 5 hours and have done nothing. Pretty soon it will be time for a nap! Sheesh. I better get going.

message 11: by Lori (new)

Lori Nice!!!

Jackie "the Librarian" | 8991 comments I'm about a six, too, as I'm feeling distracted from writing this by work. I'm coming up with ten teen titles that represent what teens are reading right now. This is for library training, not just idle speculation. :)
1. Twilight
2. Hunger Games
3. Percy Jackson....

message 13: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 13814 comments I'm an 8 today. I started my day with a 22 item to-do list and 12 voice mails. I've gotten to 8 items but none of the calls. I really want to clear this stuff before the weekend.

message 14: by [deleted user] (new)

Jacks, check out this group. Just troll around a little and I think you'll come up with a ton of ideas.

Phil | 11837 comments Work? Ah, I think I remember that.

I put in 30 miles on the bike, riding with friends, then picked up my son at school. I may head out to the shop to tweak some new designs, or I may just sit and read a while. Decisions, decisions.

message 16: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) I'm in wind-down mode for the weekend. I sat through a 4-hour meeting this morning, which is enough to put me at a solid 3.

Jackie "the Librarian" | 8991 comments Scott Westerfeld is good, we'll be including him for sure. Same with Tamora Pierce.

Amelia, yes, that group looks like the discussion I just had with Kristine, the YA coordinator. Definitely Melissa Marr! I'm not sure about Scott Pilgrim, as that's more high school and up, but I have the feeling I need to read those books. NOW.

Sounds like a good vacation day to me, Misha!

message 19: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 13814 comments That sounds wonderful! Enjoy!

message 20: by Jonathan (new)

Jonathan Lopez | 4726 comments Quitting time!

Turned in my article. Work appetite now at zero. And my Lab, Charley, just brought me his leash. Off to the park...

message 21: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Good old Charley-dog.
