Robbie, I'm SO with you on that! When I recently looked at my copies of Little House, I had a flood of memories about reading them. I found a bunch of my books I read as a teen, and was overcome when looking at the covers - I knew which ones I LOVED and even why in that process! When they change the covers, it robs us of that.


Yick, I just looked up these new and improved covers. It just does not seem like Laura without the Garth Williams illustrations. Although he wasn't even the original illustrator.

1. That is disgraceful. Some things don't need to be updated. However, I love my Time Quartet boxed set that was released in 2001 with new cover art by Peter Sís and I'm sure other fans didn't like it.
2. It looks like the Garth Williams illustrated ones are available in a box set from Amazon.
