James Whitehead (jnwhiteh) | 2 comments I've just written a small script to include my 'read' shelf on my website, linking directly to Goodreads. Unfortunately, some books, for example ISBN13 9780007342594 are returning the 'nocover' image for both the large and the small versions. This means I end up having to strip them out, making the timeline of read books somewhat sparse.

I suspect the reason these specific editions are showing no cover is because there is no cover on file, however when you click on the link for that ISBN, you are given a cover and the cover of other similar editions.

Any ideas why this might be happening?

Michael Economy (michaeleconomy) Amazon and Barnes and Noble api's don't allow us to use their images in our api.

James Whitehead (jnwhiteh) | 2 comments Ah, that's a bit frustrating but makes complete sense. I may be able to query them for the cover images based on the ISBN.

Thank you, by the way, for making the API so rich and useful!

Michael Economy (michaeleconomy) You should be able to get most images from Amazon directly.

I wish we could provide more images in our api, alas.
