Nice ones! I love finiding autographed books :)

There might be more, but that is all that I'm admitting to!

Janice, I see you picked up a couple of Preston & Douglas Pendergast novels. That's such a good series.
Mikki, what a nice list. I want to read A Month in the Country (as well as see the movie again) and the others look good too. The Museum of Unconditional Surrender is an important part of a friends masters thesis and is also on my TBR.

Thanks, Judy. I'm glad you added it. I figure that anything that starts out with "Take my camel, Dear" has to be good! :)

Me too, it's nice to see people excited about their books and to actually have a place where they can share that excitement.

Thanks, Sue, I'm reading A Month in the Country now and will get to the others later. But when??? :)

Mum's are wonderful :)

I love the way you say NEED!

The Hunger Games is a good series, I really enjoyed it. And I'll have to go and see the movie, of course!

I read Thunderhead and loved it. So I thought I'd give his other books a read. :)

LOL I told my SO, I NEEDED those books if he wanted me to read the ones I already have LOL because I won't read a series out of order : ) So that was how I got by with that purchase lolol
I will eventually read the Hunger Games, but it is out of my genre/comfort zone. I hear such good things about it but now I am scared to read it because I will probably be one of the few that doesn't like it just like the detested Twilight Series : (

I got:

:)

Robin, I know that I will detest Twilight series so I won't even read it but I did find Hunger Games to be quite gripping. It isn't the best book in the world but it kept my attention. Give it a try and you never know, you may like it or you may be one of the ones that doesn't. There are loads of books that I can't stand and don't understand why they have won awards and others that I think are brilliant but I stand alone in a big echoey chamber.
That's the beauty of personal choice. (choice ...choice...choice)

Such a steal. Envying you!

Thanks Judy! I'm hoping I'll get to the White Mary soon! I love the cover for it :)

Thanks Shannon!! I don't think I will be able to get to it this month but will make sure I get to it next month and let you know what I think : ) Sounds like you and I fall in the same cracks LOL Usually the books that I really like no one else seems to and the ones that win all these awards and great reviews are the worst books I have ever read. But that is ok. I can handle being odd man out but at least I know I have you as a partner : )
Choice is right and our likes/dislikes makes us all unique!

When I worked at a used bookstore last year we had hundreds of copies of Donaldsons books.

I started reading Lord Foul's Bane years ago, probably in the 1980s, when my kids were small and never got to finish. Probably got it out of the library. Now that my boys are grown I have more time to indulge myself. I find I like the whole Epic Fantasy genre so I've been reading Terry Goodkind, Stephen Lawhead, George Martin and a few others. I don't have any used bookstores near me but I love going to them when I travel. Growing up in Toronto I used to go to one downtown that was great. It was on Adelaide but I doubt it's still there. Whenever my husband and I go "junking" I'm drawn to the old books and always find something interesting. That's probably why I have so may books on my TBR list.
I'm curious. Where do the rest of you find most your books? Libraries? On line sites like Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Abe Books? Used book stores? Brick and mortar books stores? Attics (found lots in my own left by previous owners)? Inherited? (I got a set of Book of Knowledge Canadian version circa 1920 that way)

It's nice to meet another Torontonia Roz :D

I've heard lots of good things about [book:Home Front|12022079] and I've had Mariana for two years now and still haven't read it!

Kat... My daughter read the book and said it was pretty good! And I have a habit of buying books and not getting around to reading them for a while... No worries though, because I know I'll always have something to read! LOL

Great! I have the first one but still to start. :(

We should do a buddy read!

Oh that would be a good motivation. I am up for it! :)

We can start whenever you like :)

Awww Kat you should join us!

So smart of you, Kat. That book scares me too. :)

Alright. Give me some time. I will let you know. Right now, review books are breathing down my neck. But if you plan on starting it now, go ahead, I will join you later.

I'm going to have to add them all to my Goodreads bookshelves. I keep buying duplicates!

How fun and exciting!! It's just like Christmas when that happens : ) Enjoy!!!

Just recently the library had an anonymous donation of a huge box of books, most of them hardcover and some paperbacks. The majority of them were barely used or brand new by some very popular authors and off of the current best seller lists. I couldn't believe it. The library is selling them $1 for paperbacks $2 for hardcover.

Yeah, I had a couple of oddballs in there. I had started [book:Room|9303985] as an audiobook and couldn't stay focused on it so I thought I would try to read it instead.
