Great books, Ames! Lemme know what you think of Mary Roach's book. I was surprised how much I enjoyed her Cadavers book. I've also been thinking about getting Maze Runner. Looks interesting. Enjoy!!

@ AmyI assume since you ordered book 2 that you've read
. How was it? I read her Path books (
) a few years ago and enjoyed them. However when I read the first Crosspointe Chronicle
, I just couldn't get as involved and never read any further.
I'm not sure when I'm going to get to Afterlight, soon I hope. My TBR has quickly gotten out of control since joining Goodreads, though I can't blame this particular book on the site. I was looking at Goodreads' description of Afterlight when I was adding it to my TBR and isn't it funny that the back cover blurb is completely different. So I started paying attention and noticed it with other books also. Wouldn't you think if it was good enough to go on the back cover, it was good enough for the publisher to send out for online cataloging and vice versa? Not really important, just one of those things that make you go hmmm?
I've noticed that as well. And sometimes Amazon and GR have diff write up as well. Definitely makes ya go Hmmmm.

. How was it?"Daffodil, here's my review. Basically I liked the gruesome scenes but the romance was "off". I think it suffered from 1st Book Syndrome so I'm hoping book 2 will be better.
I haven't read any of her other books yet.
Thanks for the info on Bitter Night, Amy. Still not sure what to do about this series, I'll have to think on it.In other news, I have a great excuse to move Afterlight
up my TBR stack. Not that I really needed one. I need another A read for read "PARANORMAL" and I need another E read for read "NOVEMBER". So I'll probably pick it up as soon as I finish the mystery I'm reading right now.
Don't worry I'm used to it. Gift cards aren't huge here in Aus. Besides I've got about 800 books physically here I have to read (tbr is now offically over 900), so don't feel sorry for me. LOL.
OOoo... I just got these in the mail. They are all used.
- Got from GR BookswapAlso got these...
I had ordered the Dark Hunter books from earlier on in the series so that I can catch up. I've only read one of the later books, No Mercy. I bought them all used to save on money.

LOL :D"
People know that I want them... so I will probably get them. :)
Judithe wrote: "Actually...feeling more ENVIOUS! LOL! I want to be you next year!"LMAO!! I do not want to count how many I have. Thankfully many are digi-format, so space isn't an issue, but the years ... yeah, not in this lifetime, I'd imagine.
Jef bought me
yesterday. Said the cover and blurb looked like something I'd like. Ahhh, how sweet. :D

Gah! That does look good... Why must you do this to me? (Nightshade)
John would never think to buy me a book cause he'd be sure to get one I already have.Although he only rolls his eyes now when we're out & I pick up a book, he's stopped saying 'not another one'. Only took me 24 yrs to train him right. LOL.
@ Stacy, nothing wrong with 2nd hand books - love a bargain, then you can get more , and more ......
But picking up a hot new release...I need to take lessons from Steph & Sandra on spouse training (re-training) techniques! LOL!
LOL! Good luck. Like Sandra said, it's taken 20+ yrs, but he's coming around. Course he bought a biggy for himself, Robert Jordan's latest release. That thing could be considered a deadly weapon it's so big.

If just one fell on me my next words would be "Hello, St. Peter. How's it hangin'?"
Amy or "Ames" wrote: "If just one fell on me my next words would be "Hello, St. Peter. How's it hangin'?" .."LMAO!! Seriously those have to be some of the thickest books I've seen. I'm carpal tunnel would act up just trying to hold them open to read. :)
I just ordered a Christmas order for the whole family, all books in different formats! Since we're trying to get my younger sister to start reading (she has a problem concentrating, but needs to read in order to pass her Swedish class), we decided to get her some new books, hoping she'd like at least one. In my search though, I found books to the rest of the family as well. So I decided to have a little book theme on my presents, being the Book-Santa this year, ha ha! (And they actually like to read or wanted books, so I'm not forcing anything they don't want on them. ;)
(And yes, there's supposed to be to Nick & Norah, one's for my boyfriends younger sister, who's in the same age mine is, both having similar taste. :)

I bought
and I'm so mad that I didn't get at least the second one @ the same time :/Diffenetly going out if I can't find someone to get me the rest. Just didn't want to put this book down
Hmmm...have a few on hand, but will start along with a challenge next year. Maybe have to start collecting the rest, too, as it seems to be so highly addictively rated!
I love Gena. Got the LOTU two months ago. Now, just bought the Alien Huntress series. I spent too much money already this year with books and normally get hardcovers. Just put it this way, if I have to choose between lunch and book. I'll choose book. It's necessity. :-)
It was definitely that way @ work with Darkest night I think I only ate once and that's because my kids and husband wouldn't let me forget supper LOL
Went to my parents for Thanksgiving. All I can say is I'm lucky there's not a Half Price Books near me or I wouldn't have any money for food . . . or utilites . . . or rent. ;DI had to limit myself to the following:
I borrowed Touch the Dark from the library when it first came out. As I remember, it wasn't horrible but it wasn't anything spectacular IMO. The rest of the series was added to my "someday" list and there it stayed, mainly because there's just so much UF out there now. A lot of people here like the series and it was recommended to me, so I decided to give it another try. When I get to it anyway. At least now, it's on the TBR shelf and not on a "someday" list. LOL
I absolutely love the Cassie Palmer series!Yeah, I understand it's not to everyone's taste but I've been told (seeing as I've loved all the books) that you shouldn't judge it so much on the first book, that it gets better, probably like a lot of series out there. I think the thing I like most of all is that you end up loving not just the main character but all the others too, it's not so centred on one person. It's also really funny as well. Anyway, I hope you love the series when you get round to reading the rest :)
