Who cares about Valentine? Err that's what every Nephilim were getting their panties in a twist about, but I thought it was kinda weak coz where were his supporters, surely he still had some loyalists despite his failed effort the first time. Whichis why I think that he never really posed a real threat coz his demon attack on Alicante was always gonna be defeated by the combined Clave (who were a bunch of ineffectual, pathetic gits who deserved to be exterminated for all the hypocrisy they displayed)
and the Downworlders (who were predictable and boring)

So yeah you're right Amidala, Clary and Jace were practically the saving graces of this formulaic fantasy, plus the lead characters were witty and savvy, which made up for their lack of anything interesting, just about.

i LOVED the downworlders
though it funny cause i thought the seriues was a LOT like twilight :P
in the end its the same 'enemies' or ppl who didnt belong would unite
2 guys one hot and one the 'friend' both fall in love with the same girl and the hot guy gets her but the 'friend' finds someone else to love :P

but still VERY interesting and AMAZING in there own ways =D =D

well... in different books a Neplilim has a different meaning. so far ive heard about 8 different versions of what a Nephilim is :\

Ami thats not really like Twilight with the hot original boyfriend, then the cute best friend and the indecision- thats pretty much every teenage novel :P

Yeah I've come across several different types of 'Nephilim' too, and yes I am aware of sideshoots to the main plot but they usually arc back gracefully into the main plot, at least they do when 'good' writers write:p

well.. i liked it when it came out and when there was all that craze in '08 [back when it was the first book i read for a while]... but now that ive read mroe books- it doesnt do it for me anymore. its been replaced on the little bookshelf on my bed-side table :P
but i still love Jacob and Edward (not in the movie tho... but the faces yeah... :\ )
