Yeah, but the worse thing is that it probably will be cast with the people who we choose not to be.
As long as no Disney stars are in or any of the girls that are competeing for Katniss, I'll be ok.

Alex Pettyfer has little to no talent. I don't care how 'pretty' he is to girls, I will not see the movie if he is casted.

I have no idea what his acting abilities are, I just know that everyone is obsessed with his looks and he's been in just about everything recently. I do not like him for this role, or any role in the next five years.
I don't know of anything that he's been in, but all I've really heard about people wanting him for Peeta is that he's hot. SERIOUSLY? For some roles, that's all you need with a little bit of acting experiance, but these roles require GREAT actors! (And unknowns if possible)

Pettyfer's appearance doesn't match Peeta at all. (Though I could definitely see him as Jace in The Mortal Instruments) They need to find an unknown.
To be honest, I don't see him as Jace either. He keeps starring (or being talked about) in book adaptations, is the problem. If he were to be the first in a character, he would be fine, but he almost never fits the characters that have already been made.They DEFINITELY need and unknown. None of the knowns will work, for almost any of the characters.

Dang it, if they pull a Half Blood Prince, I'll mark the project as doomed.
If the filming doesn't start soon, the movie will probably come out very late 2012, or beginning to middle of 2013.

Yeah. I think most of us have come to the conclusion that the movie put in front of us probably will crash and burn. Maybe. Who knows? Eitehr way, lets hope for the best.
and then a large chunk of the book fans will boycott the movie- which won't be good for the movie turnout.

No she is too young to play Katniss. I have no idea who should play Katniss, Peeta or Gale but, I think a good effie would be Jayma Mays and a good Haymitch would be RDJ

A great Effie would be Amy Poehler :)
Abigail Breslin would be fine as Prim, I guess. But the person who plays Prim doesn't really matter.

Her and RDJ NEEEEED to be in this movie! Both are perfect :)
However, I dobut either would show interest. If both of them are missing from the movie, I will cry :(
Anyway, I dont think Jayma could pull of pink hair. Plus, everytime she is on screen my brain will just cream GLEEEEEEE!
AND i dont think her acting abilities would be able to pull her off successfully.
