Exactly. I'm really sick of all this romantic crap sweeping bookshelves that is the same story every time.

Exactly. I could have done without the romance, but I didn't hate it the way I would have if it weren't the way you described.

Me too. And I agree with Jessica, paranormal romance is probably the worst, since there are so many and they're all the same.
I'm a guy, and I really don't like romantic stories. However, The Hunger Games played the romance part very well. I just hope they don't over-do it in the movie.

Paranormal romaces are my favorite >:) But I like all, science-fiction, historical fiction, Harry Potter, all types :P

If anything, they'll down-play the romance, I think.

I actually think they will focus on the romance, more. Movies usually do that to make it "more intresting" It will make more teens see it because it has the love aspect in it.

Absolutely not.But yeah, I agree that as little as I like it, romance usually gets played up, not down, in movies.
Yeah, I love romance (I'm a self-proclaimed hopeless-romantic), but too much of badly written romance is just not good- and you can't have too much of it anyways otherwise it takes away from the story if it isn't a romantic comedy or something of the sort.

If by hopeless romantic, you mean I wouldn't know actual romance if it hit me upside the head with a mace, then I'm a hopeless romantic.
By "hopeless romantic", I mean I'm a dreamer who loves a good romance. ;)

In both cases, I think those are things that they need to show instead of tell when it comes to a movie, which is why I didn't mind the beginning of the Deathly Hallows and wouldn't mind if the Hunger Games started off with a montage.
It may be some time before anything is officially announced. The movie isn't supposed to come out until late 2012, right?

Most likely, it's hard to convert realists. They don't see it as realistic. :)
I can't imagine being a realist! If I was, I would see myself as never getting to do what I dream of doing, and then I'd just be depressed. At least with dreams, you have something to work towards.
Exactly! I'm more of a.....realistic optimist, myself. Instead of a straight optimist. I have dreams, but I know when something is just not going to happen.
Oh, definitely, me too. There's a point at which I stop myself. I can see when something is not gonna happen, I'm not an ignorant optimist. THAT gets more annoying than pessimistic realists.
It really does! Because you have the people like us, then the depressing, pessimistic people, and then those annoyingly happy people who don't have any plausible reason to be happy.
Oh, my goodness, THOSE people. The ones who are like, "My cat got run over, I'm failing math, and my boyfriend dumped me for my best friend. Isn't today a spectacular day?" with no sarcasm involved.
