Chandloski, that's going to be the hardest part of the movie. Chemistry. Passion. And dare I say, fire?

Dan had a small but noteworthy role in the BBC's David Copperfield and the only other "child" actor at that time with any experience whatsoever was Tom Felton, who'd been in The Borrowers and Anna and the King. But yeah, Emma & Rupert were totally new.

And to be honest, Emma was probably the best, at least to start.

I agree, open auditions were the greatest things that happened to those movies. Especially Evanna Lynch. The role of Luna Lovegood seems like its written for her!
I thinks its awful and unprofessional that all these actresses are shouting about how much they want to play Katniss. Especially Jodelle Ferland putting up pictures of her dressed as Katniss on the internet: http://s3.twilightersanonymous.com/wp... http://media.onsugar.com/files/2010/1...
Ugh-all of these actresses saying they want to role are absolutely awful choices.
I hope and unknown gets it. I really, really, really do.

i agree with one of the above comments. Sherlock Holmes 2 has been filming already. THG doesnt start for a while.

And Jack Black...nooooooo. He is not Haymitch AT ALL.
Neither is Johnny Depp. HIm acting would be too much Jack Sparrow.
If they have whoever they cast as Katniss dress like that, I WILL NOT see the movie. Or if she is cast as Katniss, no matter how good the costume is. We really do need an unknown.Th thing about Johnny Depp playing Haymitch as Jack Sparrow is that no, that's not ideal, but if you have to be reminded of someone.....for Haymitch, there are worse people. However, no matter how well he acts it, he doesn't really look the part.
Rupert is NOW one of the best. Originally he was fine and had orange hair.

I'm hoping producers won't take dumbbums like Jodelle seriously when making casting decisions.
As Jessica said, an unknown would be better than all of these actresses that have shown interest so far. Some may be able to pull it off and make it not horrible, but honestly, there is someone out there that is perfect for Katniss. Finding that someone might be a problem though.Also, for that Jodelle girl posting pictures of herself...That's kind of pathetic.

She couldn't even get a decent sized bow. Real bows are much bigger, that one she has looks like a toddler's toy.

I wouldn't use it if I were you. Although it might be handy just to have it, I would go with e-mail.
Yeah, the phone number is probably someone else's. Go to her author site and find it on there. It's safer and has the accurate information- probably.
Looking around, I can't seem to find her email. Some people say it's suzanne@suzannecollins.net. But, suzannecollins.net isn't a real site.

Hailee Steinfeld doesn't really look like a Katniss to me. She is only 14 too.

If I was directing, I would start with a sort of end-of-the-world montage. You know, a few minutes of buildings crumbling, fires, armies fighting, freak waves. While thats happening there are news-reporter style voice overs saying things like: 'Its been 24 hours since the unexpected tsunami destroyed over half the west coast of America' or 'the Michigan conflict breaks into all-out chaos, splitting the state into a miniature war.'
blah blah blah. That sort of thing.
Then skip to Gale and Katniss in the field, talking and hunting.
The skip to the Reaping, and so on so on. At least thats how I would start the film.

Very cool idea you got there. I think it would be cool if they started the movie in one of Katniss' dreams. For example, she mentions that she is always thinking of her father and the 'mine accident'. Don't know where they would go from there, but I thought it would be cool.
I think it would be cool but as we all know they never start the movie the smae place as the books ergo Harry Potter Deathly Hallows ect. I hope they dont cut much out, but i know they will. :// I'm really afraid to go see it now that we might Have Kaya or one of them?!!
That's true. I think most of the book was boring except for the arena. Except maybe the opening ceremonies, but all the time at the training center and maybe the opening ceremonies will be montage.

AWWWWWW!What I liked about the Hunger Games was that it was incredibly romantic without being too SAPPY! I hate sappy puppy love stories.

Thats why I liked it so much. The romantic aspect was overshadowed by all the other plot points and genres.
