Daffodils in the garden seem about to open, but could be a couple of weeks yet.

I've always wondered about that - because there are still two more months of winter to go!
Ah! but we in Oz declare that winter starts on 01 June, whereas it doesn’t really start until 21st June because of the Earth’s tilt of 23.5 degrees. Winter ends on 21st Sept, but we state that spring starts on 01 Sept. The 21st June is the point when the sun is at its furthest point away from Oz, so the 22nd June means it is getting closer, up until 21st Dec when it starts back 'up north' :-o)
And to cap it all the sun doesn't move . . . .

My Favourite...1. Time of Day: Around ten in the morning - doesn't matter when you get up, ten in the morning is always good.

3. Drink (alcoholic or non-alcoholic): A nice pinot noir or boutique dark beer - Founders Long Black mmmm
4. Band/singer: The Kills or Queens of the Stone Age
5. Actor: Johnny Depp mmm
6. Spot in Australia: Victoria Western Districts
7. Team/Sport: Indoor Netball
8. Car: Not my one - would quite like a new one that doesn't have skin cancer or think it is a swimming pool

I know, sometimes I think he's losing it but it's def still hanging on. Wish he wasn't so little tho, I pretend he's tall as well as handsome.
Hes losing it? You must be talking about The Tourist... If I ever think he's loosing it, I'll just go back and watch Pirates of the Carrabian #1, Sweeny Todd, Edward Scissorhands or Chocolat :)
it depresses me a bit that all his characters are starting to be the same I mean the mad hatter was just half Jack and half willy wonka! he needs to get away from disney...and Angelina Jolie the tourist was horrible!
I loved his mad hatter and he was the best bit in the Chocolate factory (I think he made a better willy wonka but the old movie was so much better). I'm a bit worried about the new Pirates - you are right first pirates awesome. And I wish he would play a new Chocolat-esk character.

I have her books too, and thoroughly enjoyed them! She certainly had a hard life!
My Favourite...1. Time of Day: The middle of the day...especially when the sun is out and I don't have to be working or doing housework!
2. Food: Too many....chocolate; prawns; avocado; bananas; icecream....just not all together.
3. Drink (alcoholic or non-alcoholic): a good pot of strong tea....or a glass of wine, red or white i don't mind.
4. Band/singer: Bernard Fanning/Powderfinger :(
5. Actor: Sean Penn
6. Spot in Australia: Palm Cove....just between Port Douglas and Cairns. Beautiful little spot and it's where i got married.
7. Team/Sport: none really. Although i do get incredibly patriotic whenever Australia is playing anything!
8. Car: Subaru Outback
9. Animal: Giraffe. So tall and graceful.
10. Activity: Cooking, reading, walking and photography.
11. Things to collect: Tea cups and children's books.

When I wrote my one of these I forgot all about tea and wrote my other favourite drinks. But a day hasn't started without a good strong cup of tea. Normally I make sure that there is enough in the pot for a good few top ups as well. Mmmm think I might make some post-lunch tea now...
My Favourite... 1. Time of Day: Either, When you first wake up and know you have the whole day ahead of you. After you finish work and know its hours between the next time you must go, or, Midday on a warm summers day (or sunny winters day. OR rainy day) where you can snuggle inside or embrace the rays outside. Great 'Green-Thumb' weather.
2. Food: Italian, Mexican or anything seafood.
3. Drink (alcoholic or non-alcoholic): Cider, Scotch, Tomato Juice and Milk. With an arvo Chai Latte
4. Band/singer: Angus & Julia Stone, Rolling Stones, Sara Blasko. Anything I am in the mood for really.
5. Actor: Johnny Depp
6. Dirrector: Tim Burton
7. Actress: Audrey Hepburn
8. Spot in Australia: The Esplanade, in Wagga Wagga, on a warm day. OR, Sydney Harbour in Spring. It makes me feel like I am looking right at a live work of 'Ken Done's paintings'... Bliss!
9. Team/Sport: Parramatta Eels NRL. Hawthorn AFL. Italy, Soccer.
10. Car: 1960's Crysler. My olds used to have one and I miss that car terribly.
11. Animal: dogs and snakes
12. Activity : Writing, Reading, Scrounging around Wikipedia, Listening to tunes, Walking the dogs or having coffee with the girls... In my case, A Chai Latte. (All this Chai talk is making my mouth water)
13. Things to collect : Lovely covered notebooks (that I usually don't end up writing in), 1950's Decor, Postcards, Dvds and Books.
14. Favourite Novelist: Tobsha Learner
15. Favourite Colour: Green

Yes I actually have two beagles. A boy named Barney who will be 3 next month and a girl named Evie who is 6. I love the breed even though they are so stubborn and naughty. They are such fun dogs.

Awwww, Ellie is so cute! I have loads of photos of my two but am not quite sure how to show them here. And yes, they definitely get up to twice the trouble when there's two. They are like a tag team with each other now and egg each other on. Life was so much less complicated with one but where's the fun in that??

Not for many years. But I did the Overland Track a long time ago - in about 1965!More recently I have been to Freycinet Peninsula - twice. Camped at Wineglass Bay and did the circuit.
I also visited Lake Pedder BEFORE they flooded it! A real gem in the south west - destroyed in the name of 'progress' by "Electric Eric" (i think he was premier at the time).
I would love to visit Tassie again but I can't persuade Pam to go there - she reckons it is too cold (she hates the cold!)
