One day I might try, but I really don't think I could! Even though my DIL has told me on several occasions I could write children's books!

Well done KL! Will you let us read it when you're finished?

message 4202: by Michael (new)

Michael (knowledgelost) It doesn't matter if you write 50,000 words or not, its a matter of trying.

Thank you :)

I can sense some great procrastinating potential by having breaks with the internet though...

Bah! I've been at school since 8AM. And have homework. So im going to fail, but will try none the less. I have quite a few plot lines floating around my head, and am going to pick the one which is 'the most fun to write' and go with that. Starting NOW!

I agree. And its fun. Last year I wrote an odd 20,000 words, and reading over it again, its clearly not my best work, and very raw, but enjoyable none the less. Everyone should have a go :)

Michael (knowledgelost) It is insteresting to see where your mind takes you when you don't have time to correct things and just write, write, write

Graham (giraham) | 60 comments So hungover from yesterday. Had a great day with my mates, no wins, but it went to crap at a pub later. I was a bit drunk, talking to a guy from work and I didnt realise a girl who I hate (from work) was sitting there. I'm just asking how his day went and she just interrupts with: "Will you fuck off, you're fucking crazy". I just walked away without saying a word, thankfully I didn't chuck a wobbly at her (we hooked up once months ago, its an long story but it didn't work out, I tried to be civil with her for works sake, she just insulted me so we don't speak any more).

Now im tempted to call work and sort it out so we aren't on any shifts together. That would be really weak though. lol I'm pretty sure she was banging on my door at 4am a month ago and I didnt answer, then I just walked away from her at a pub a week later when she walked up to me, so hopefully she's had her little revenge in front of her friends and we can go back to ignoring each other's existance. Phew, venting is good

Back at the beginning of April this year, I read It Is No Secret: The Story Of A Stolen Child by Donna Meehan. I just met her at my local library! Just a chance meeting, and my library lady introduced us, and asked her if she would like to come to one of our bookclub meetings. She said she would love to! She is an extremely humble lady, very nice. I'm really looking forward to that particular bookclub, it'll probably be about February.
