Okay, that's what happens with me trying to write in the car. Organising not organic singing. Stupid computer. And now the post has vanished all together. Ho hum . Me and technology were never meant to be friends.

It's that pesky spell check again Dale. It's always doing it to me. It does come up with some funny alternatives sometimes instead of the obvious!

LOL, there was some singing, but I don't know if it was organic, and it wasn't me!
And I wasn't the only organiser: Brenda and Julie were my partners in crime. I still owe Jools a dessert or something (next time!!) for all her research.
So yeah, I'm back now too, about to have a cuppa, having pulled my wheelie bag all the way up my hill (Dale's seen my hill, she knows what an effort that would be). Luckily it wasn't as full as this morning. So, Brenda, how's the repacking of bags going??
It's not yet Marianne!!! I started and I need to re-think as there are TOO many!!! lol
Glad you're home safe..you and Dale had the longest distance to go today... I just listed mine in the Purchased thread;)

Home now too and ready to unpack my goodies. Thanks for more reading material, ladies. And you're right Carolyn about some of the strange words that pop up instead of the obvious.
I'm such a dill! Suzanne had asked what leather I bought in Italy so I had the little bag I bought in Pisa and the fingerless gloves I bought in Florence with me in my handbag. Forgot to get them out to show everyone. Doh!!
Home as well but busy with grand kids:)
Thanks for the lovely books though everyone!!! Can't wait to start them.

We were wishing you were there Michael, it was lovely to get your message, it had you with us in spirit :)
And I just got my books packed to go in the morning! Oh boy, what a contract!!! Very much heavier than it was when we arrived - hopefully it won't be overweight now!
That would be great Michael, we'll start talking about our next meet in the new year - start discussing about Feb:)
Michael wrote: "I seen all the books you got listed in the purchased books thread Brenda. Just a few you got. O_0Thanks everyone. I am going to have to make an effort to get to NSW in the future and see you all. :)"
Yay!!! Start saving Michael and you can tell us when you can come, then we could work around that with enough warning? :[]
Brenda wrote: "And I just got my books packed to go in the morning! Oh boy, what a contract!!! Very much heavier than it was when we arrived - hopefully it won't be overweight now!"Have a safe trip home today Brenda.
Re Opal cards (we were discussing this at the Meet yesterday, we didn't talk only about books!)I found this in the FAQ on the Opal site:
Does value on an Opal card expire?
Yes, it can expire if you don’t use your Opal card for nine years. However, if you receive a new Opal card that is registered and you have arranged to put value on it, you will need to present it to a card reader within 60 days. Otherwise the balance will simply be reversed and credited back to your nominated credit or debit card account.
Not sure if this answers the question we were discussing....
I suppose, though, if you had bought a card, put cash on it at some outlet and it wasn't linked to a credit card or bank account, and you didn't "present it to a card reader within 60 days" you might lose what you put on it as there's no account for them to refund it into?
and if that's the case, it would make sense to have your Opal card registered to you, online, and linked to an account, I guess.

Looks like a great get together, Brenda. It is a shame that Canada is across the world :P

I agree, my anxiety is more the fear of being anxious.

Nice to see you home safe Brenda...and its unanimous that a great time was had by all! ;)
I'm also back to sanity now. My mum's 100th birthday celebrations went well. She nearly drowned under all the flowers that came. Lots of cake, speeches and photos.
The grandchildren have just departed and I am drinking tea - quietly:)

Lol!
Glad you are home safe Brenda and relaxing. Phrynne too after a busy time with your mum's 100th. Enjoy some peace and quiet time.
That's wonderful Phrynne. It's great that she enjoyed a really special day. And you can finally relax after a big weekend!Brenda, glad to hear that you and your hubby are back safely after a weekend in the big smoke :)
I've had my little book club this arvo, although the friend whose taste in books is closest to mine couldn't come. Good to hear Brenda and DH are safe home, that the 100th celebrations went well and everyone can sit back, relax and READ a bit.
Trying to read but lots of tidying up and washing to do after having visitors staying for the weekend. It's always nice to put everything back where it belongs. Visitors are great but it is also nice when they are gone:)
