Yes Regina, glad you are feeling better too! I think what you and Marina need is a nice quiet spot for some total R&R with a good book in one hand and the beverage of your choice in the other! ;D
I'm covering school library books again. This is where I need audiobooks I think. What's a good one?!
Suzanne wrote: "I'm covering school library books again. This is where I need audiobooks I think. What's a good one?!"I'm slowly getting through
The Poppet and the Lune by Madeline Claire Franklin at the moment Suzanne and its really good ;)Or if you want something a little more serious but VERY compelling, I absolutely loved
Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein I read the book and listened to the audio...brilliant! Cannot recommend that one highly enough :) *Needs tissues!!

That's no good Julie. If she's crying she won't be able see what she's doing and the school library books will end up all wrinkled.

@Phrynne, dont tell Suzanne yet, but I cried buckets over this story!!
The audio version was brilliant!
Fighting with contact is enough to make you cry without adding sad stories to the mix! So frustrating sometimes! Will be glad when my last one goes to high school and our days of covering school books in contact will be over.

That was a great one wasn't it ;)
Marina wrote: "Fighting with contact is enough to make you cry without adding sad stories to the mix! So frustrating sometimes! They never ended up smooth and wrinkle free.
The school gave me a little tool, that is better than a ruler, it's a 3M scraper, good for getting all the bumps out. Also the little lesson was handy that the librarian gave me - I never thought of folding it in half before peeling the backing off!

Is anyone interested in the Dymocks Literary Lunch featuring Kate Grenville on 8th April? See https://www.dymocks.com.au/Events/Sto...I want to go, not sure if my sister will go with me, if she doesn't, someone can take her place at the discounted price of $80 instead of $95 (2 course meal, all drinks). Of course she may choose to come.....I will post here again when she lets me know.
I'll come Marianne, I was just thinking I needed to check out the upcoming events.. Gives me some time to read her memoir.
Suzanne wrote: "I'll come Marianne, I was just thinking I needed to check out the upcoming events.. Gives me some time to read her memoir."Suzanne I'll be in touch when I hear from my sister.
They're apparently thinking about re-making Watership Down as a CGI film.I am not a fan of this idea.

It sounds like a really bad idea!

☼♄Jülie wrote: "@Carolyn, how was the view this morning from the half a fridge? ;D"Haha! I was half asleep this morning with my nose in a book so I forgot to look.
Has been quite foggy/ smoggy in the mornings this week so the harbour hasn't been looking so good. The half-a-fridge looks best on a bright, clear, sunny day :)
Marina wrote: "Fighting with contact is enough to make you cry without adding sad stories to the mix! So frustrating sometimes! Big thunderstorm in Sydney. Rain pouring down. No forecast on weather sites! wouldn't like to be driving now.
It's gone now and our temperature has dropped to 20 which is nice. Now if we could just get rid of the humidity.
Ian wrote: "Big thunderstorm in Sydney. Rain pouring down. No forecast on weather sites! wouldn't like to be driving now."Hope it heads to the Hunter.
Storm never came south. We got a few thunder rumbles and that was it. Not one drop of rain. Maybe it's taking a leisurely trip down the coast?

Sounds good Marianne, but unfortunately I have too many work commitments that day. Probably not a good idea to duck out for a nice lunch and a couple of glasses of wine and then have to go back for a long meeting! Will keep an eye open for other events during the year.
