Michael Paul Metzger (MichaelPaulMetzger) | 2 comments Hello everyone, I've recently published my first novel, First of the Line, Book One of the Druid Dreams Saga. The Hardback and Paperback versions are currently available at most of the major book sellers, and an electronic PDF version is available as well.

It's a fantasy novel geared toward young adults. I have also finished writing the sequel, “Protector of the Line, Book Two of the Druid Dreams Saga”, which will be going to my editor shortly, and will begin work on book three of the series in late 2010.

***********************************************
Gazing out her raised window in the eastern tower, Princess Sannil watched the landscape for the slightest hint of movement, as she waited for the first embers of daylight to arrive. She loved this place.

It had taken nearly fourteen months to convince her father to allow her to take up residence, but it was worth every second on days such as this. Why you might ask? Well it was quite simple. Princess Sannil had a secret… she could do magic.

Yet the rules behind her gift were somewhat unique, as she was limited to performing only one aspect of magic. She could talk to animals. It was a small magic, or so she thinks, until the eve of her 16th birthday when she unexpectedly discovers that her talents are a bi-product of being selected “First of the Line.”

The “First of the Line” is the sole heir to the druid dreams magic, and as such, is burdened with a unique insight which allows the bearer to see the truth surrounding the future, past and present. Yet Sannil wasn’t the only one who had become aware of the magic’s transition. The Dark Lord Shaltorayce had felt it too.

Vanquished by her father at the end of the Great War, Shaltorayce had spent the past twenty-five years shut away inside the netherworld, a place which holds neither life or death, waiting… determined to one day claim the magic of the druid dreams and it’s bearer for his own.

Will Princess Sannil be able to use the magic of the Druid Dream to save her family and friends? Or will the Dark Lord Shaltorayce take possession of her gift, and with it, all of the free lands.
