Thanks! :)

Kathy G. wrote: "Is this book Black and White Enough?
"No, It should only be black, white or greytoned. The first thing I notice about the book is the red. I'm going for the black/white tv vs. the technicolor look. Sorry.
I LOVE this task! However I just made it harder for myself because for my Second Chances task I am going to read 500 pages of children's books with bare feet on the cover. IF I can find them!
Sarah (Mood Reader) wrote: "I LOVE this task! However I just made it harder for myself because for my Second Chances task I am going to read 500 pages of children's books with bare feet on the cover. IF I can find them!"Haha! I like that and I think they should be fairly easy to find.
OK, another question about the 1960 #3 male name option (I'm having fun with this one!): what about a last name that is iconic to a male, like: Dracula? As in: Happy Hour at Casa DraculaThanks!
I rolled 6 for the high school setting. Does it have to be a normal high school or would a school for vampires work? I'm thinking of PC Cast House of Night series ieBetrayed or Vampire Academy Frostbite (Vampire Academy, #2)
Kathy G. wrote: "Will this work for Black & White--- (the circle is the award seal)-- the rest is black & white.
"Yes, it will work.
Ashley FL wrote: "OK, another question about the 1960 #3 male name option (I'm having fun with this one!): what about a last name that is iconic to a male, like: Dracula? As in: Happy Hour at Casa Dracula or Vampir..."
No, it needs to be a first name.
chucklesthescot wrote: "I rolled 6 for the high school setting. Does it have to be a normal high school or would a school for vampires work? I'm thinking of PC Cast House of Night series ieBetrayed or Vampir..."
No, it needs to be a human H.S.
wanted to check for 2: Cry No More - in it the mother had her child that was kidnapped and she starts running a non-profit to look for him?
Delicious Dee the book slut wrote: "wanted to check for 2: Cry No More - in it the mother had her child that was kidnapped and she starts running a non-profit to look for him?"Yes!

Aleksandra, I think I may have misinterpreted your question, when I replied it wouldn't work because the setting was 1811 -1812. I thought you were asking if it would fit the 1960's setting task, but after looking again, I think you meant the male names. It does work with the My Three Sons male names task. The semi-colon and 3 after 1960 fooled me, because some people use them to make smiles. Sorry for the inconvenience.
ahh, nut! I realized I screwed up and since I rolled a 2 and a 5...that is a 7...question for you...when talking about the cover...what if the publisher (i.e. siren books) brands everything the same (a red banner top and bottom), but the cover itself is actually black and white...or does the whole thing have to be...
i.e. not that i can find an example right now...lol!

Yes!

@DeeI won't say no to the publisher's branding label until I see it, since the label is not a part of the cover art. My intent is to remind you of black/white t.v., so the label should not be large enough to detract from the cover.
Also, your 2 & 5 roll allows you to choose the black/white, plus color cover option OR stick with the original programming. You decide which you'd like best to do.
s'ok...ironically...the book I was thinking for using for "2" also has a black/white/grey cover...
I would love if
would work (but I understand if it doesn't)...the publisher ruined a gorgeous cover with the stupid writing on it...This is my back up...
1960 Fall T.V. Line-up 1. The Flintstones
Read a book with bare feet or a dinosaur on the cover.
Here's a list of bare feet:

Warm Springs: Traces of a Childhood at FDR's Polio Haven has bare feet! :) it was an interesting read, too.

For #44. The Vampire Diaries
Read a book with a paranormal character.
Grave Secret (2009) by Charlaine Harris (Hardcover, 306 pages)
Harper survived a lightning strike that left her with the ability to track down dead people and sense the last moments of dead people.
Does Grave Secret qualify for "paranormal character"? (since sensing the dead is a paranormal ability) Or ... does Paranormal have to be something like a werewolf? Thanks!

It works for me!
I'm done with the 1960 part of the task, need recommendations for any of the 2010, I think the most appealing to me would be #6.I could not find Moloka'i, but thanks anyways.

Penny, you are suppose to use the random dice generator and then read a book that goes with the related number... You said that is the one that appeals to you the most, but did you role the dice? Did the book you read for the 1960s part correspond with the number you got on the dice?
Kathryn, In a previous post I said I roll Snake eyes, so I can read #1 or any other one I want. For the 1960 I chosed #5, and read Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake, I'm looking for what to read for the 2010 part.

That happened to me once and it sucked!

You are not limited to the 2010 shows. With your snake eyes roll you can choose any two shows, both of which may come from 1960.
A quick glance at your TBR and I saw books with high school settings, animal titles, etc....Just take a look at the books on your TBR or at books you own and see if they fit any of the other 11 shows.
My RL book club just picked Good Things I Wish You: A Novel for our next selection - would this fit for the 2010 Fall line-up#6? The main character is a "gifted pianist" and it seems to include historical info about Robert Schumann and Johannes Brahms.

Would someone with a paranormal talent (reading minds/auras, seeing the future, etc) be acceptable? Or would being the Grim Reaper's daughter count as paranormal enough?
Christine US wrote: "Would someone with a paranormal talent (reading minds/auras, seeing the future, etc) be acceptable? Or would being the Grim Reaper's daughter count as paranormal enough?"
The answer to the first question is yes. The answer to the second question is probably. I guess I would need more info, like the book title to say yes for certain.
YAY! I'm glad you're Ok with #1 :) I originally had planned to put one of the Percy Jackson's in here, but I can move it to somewhere else and reorganize one to here:)
I'm really having a problem finding a book with the following on the cover "police car, police badge, fishing gear, bee, barbershop, gas station or jail cell." Does anyone have any suggestions?
Rebecca A Fine and Pleasant Misery and Never Sniff A Gift Fish by Patrick F. McManus both have fishing gear. They are very funny essays on outdoor "sports", but you don't have to be into fishing, hunting, camping to enjoy the books.
Thanks Donna Jo for the quick response. Unfortunately, my library doesn't have either of those. They do look interesting!
Rebecca wrote: "I'm really having a problem finding a book with the following on the cover "police car, police badge, fishing gear, bee, barbershop, gas station or jail cell." Election sounds good, and I'm glad you now have a slot for another Evanovich. I love the Stephanie Plum series!
