I don't know if I'm actually going to participate in this, but if you guys don't mind I wouldn't mind helping you find books that fit for different states. I don't know if you want me to post here or make a side thread. Just let me know.

ok I guess I'm going to give this a whirl. It keeps popping in my head and seems like a great idea! Hopefully I'll get it in a year but we'll see. I have one question- do audio books count? I love audio and listen in the car and on my computer.

I really enjoyed Raised by Wolves. It was different from what I had expected. Some of the people I know who have read it said that it annoying and a little repetitive because it gives you glimpses into the wolves' mind. Since their thinking is more simplistic than a humans their thoughts are one word sentances that are mostly based on their needs which I found to be kinda cool. I definitely would recommend that you try it.

I didn’t like it much. It was annoying and too much like Twilight; the whole wolf connection, breaking out of the pack to form a new one, love connection at first sight.

Yeah I didn't much care for the whole love connection at first sight either. Normally if it is a bit annoying I can look past it but Twilight was beyond ridiculous. I felt like Byrn was more relatable than Bella. I think that the next book will be better, but for a first in a series I though it was good.

You just need to do like me and get yourself and excel spreadsheet to keep them all straight and try to find books that will work for as many challenges as possible. Now that I think about this I may have an obsession. :)

Rebecca, how was Heat Wave? I've been in the middle of it for a year now. I didn't get bored with it, but I put it down to finish a library book and never went back.

Heather, Heat Wave was good. The one thing that bothered me while I was reading it was the closeness to the TV show (even cases I might have remembered) when in hindsight I realized that it should be because he was "Rick Castle." I would recommend finishing it if you are a fan of the show.

On our library's website you can actually loook up books by where they take place at. That helped me to come up with a list of books to read, but some of them may change later on.

Yeah, I didn't even know they had it until I was requesting books the other day and saw that you could filter the search by that.

I just checked my library's website, it can't do it.

just copy and post the state list.....then as you read a book that is set in that state, just add it (or list books you want to read and cross off as you read....this seems to be a very flexible group!)

thank you sweetie! As soon as my son or grandkids get here i will ask them to do that. I am not sure what you mean or know how,so thank you again soo much. I was able to print list for my own use but that is the extent of my know how other than email. lol

You can type your list of states.....and then each time you want to add something, go back to that message and choose "edit" and it will let you go back in and type another book, etc. or type "FINISHED" by a book on your list. It is really easy.....I still have trouble with the crossing out! Ha!
