I haven't watched Dr Who since I was a lot younger;) I don't know the name of the actor (probably the original) and I used to enjoy it!

Sally906 | 98 comments I did enjoy the first episode, I like the new doctor. I wasn't happy to see the daleks are in next weeks episode. I loathe them with a passion!

The episode this week was very steam punk I thought. A lizard woman married to her maid - how clever. And the poor dinosaur I shed a tear for her.

Ariel Brown | 44 comments My son is a Dr Who fanatic - so Yes, I did watch it. I actually think this Doctor might just be the best one yet...

Those movies are awful so disappointing ugh

Liam || Books 'n Beards (madbird) I'm not a Dr. Who fan, but the only Doctor I could stand was Chris Eccleston.

He was in for just one series wasn't he? He wasn't too bad.

He was the one who introduced the new modern type Doctor. I thought he was pretty good but he didn't do it for long.

I liked him too. I was disappointed that he only lasted one season.

I'm with you there Phrynne. Hard to believe anyone could top David Tennant!
Another Neil Gaiman episode would be fabulous.

Sally906 | 98 comments David Tennant always struck me as being on the edge of madness with those 'crazy' eyes. Yes he was excellent as I always thought the doctor to be completely bonkers - LOL.

Exactly! David also played an excellent Hamlet on stage and no one was more bonkers than Hamlet:)

message 669: by Renee (new)

Renee (reneelisaaa) My favourite Aussie is hands down The Castle!

message 670: by Alex (new)

Alex I think A Place to Call Home is quite a watchable Australian drama. Has anyone mentioned it? apologies if so.

message 671: by Neko (new)

Neko I'm currently watching The Code...bits of it annoy me if I was to be honest :/

Chobbits - more adult style anime I guess

Sons of Anarchy last season.

RUSH from the U.S that got canned.

The latest season of The Simpsons...zz

BONES just restarted :D

Polishing off Defiance...blegh season imo

Finished watching Utopia...great Aussie show!

Top Boy on ABC2 British drama

I think that is it!

message 673: by Sally906 (new)

Sally906 | 98 comments Utopia was a must watch show in our household too - being public servants ourselves we just 'knew' all the characters. Was very funny - but sadly close to the truth!!

You enjoying it Jess? I think you said you weren't too fussed on the first season didn't ya?

Got Alien: Isolation, so I've been rewatching the Alien films. Damn they're good.

I really enjoy Utopia because it reminds me of my work. I guess that is why everyone enjoys it

Took me a long time to get into for some reason, but from the second half of season 1 was hooked, and season 2 was near perfect.

Lynne Stringer | 280 comments My favourite Aussie movie is The Castle and my favourite TV show was The Panel when it was on. In fact, just about anything by Working Dog is good.

message 679: by Lynne (new)

Lynne Stringer | 280 comments Utopia is just about the only Working Dog production I'm not that fond of. It annoyed me because it reminded me of a place I used to work and I wanted to slap most of the characters on a regular basis!

Liam || Books 'n Beards (madbird) I need to watch Mad as Hell. I loved NEWSTopia back in the day.

Shaun Micallef is so great

Liam || Books 'n Beards (madbird) One eye on the world.
The other, on ourselves.
A third eye looking at you watching us.
An all-seeing, all-knowing three-eyed news-gathering cyclops.
Its name? NewsTOPIA.

★ Jess | 3071 comments Saw Gone Girl last night. I love David Fincher.

Liam || Books 'n Beards (madbird) I saw that with mum the other week, really good! David Fincher knows how to make a movie.

Seeing A Walk Amongst the Tombstones with her after work today :P

Let me know if that is any good. The trailer made it look like every other movie that guy has ever made.

Liam || Books 'n Beards (madbird) I am pretty excited to watch Liam Neeson punch people.

Yes but that was a very long time ago! I guess I shouldn't have said ever made:)

Liam || Books 'n Beards (madbird) I rather enjoyed Walk Among the Tombstones, was a bit more grounded in reality than Taken. Similar sort of thing though.

If you like the character, there are plenty of Matthew Scudder books out there to read. The Sins of the Fathers is book one.

Liam || Books 'n Beards (madbird) Cheers Michael, might look into it.
