RandomAnthony My nine and eight year sons debate whether not D and D is cool or uncool...my oldest is growing interested in D and D so I got him the player's manual from the library...he was reading it tonight on the deck, and his brother started mocking him, so I taped 43 seconds of them talking about D and D. Special appearance at the end of my dog, Shadow. Oh...Tristan mumbles a bit, being an almost ten year old, so you might have to turn it up a bit.

Sarah (songgirl7) Hee!! The best part was hearing your voice!

Lori Oh how wonderful to see your kids! And your voice sounds just like you, the way I'd imagine it to be. It was like, oh yes there's RA!

Shit, I hope Jake never even hears of D&D. Right now he's obsessed with Star Wars Galaxy, in his first week out of school he was on the computer 12 hours a day.

RandomAnthony Ha...thanks, Sarah and Lori...it's that terrifying inland north accent:)

Sarah (songgirl7) Yeah, I think your voice totally fits you.

Yep, you sound just like I would imagine.

Your kid is a giant like you! My nephew is 8 and he's a halfling compared to Tristan!! I bet he's more than a head taller at least.

Adorable all around!

Aw, RA that was a sweet little interplay between your kids. They seem like wonderful boys.

Although, I don't think you can avoid the pull of D and D for too long when you're in certain company. My 19 yr. old daughter has recently picked up playing it with her friends. I do wonder if there has always been a general ongoing interest in the game or just an upsurge in a nostalgic pastime that the younger generation have seized.

And yes, I'll admit this, but...I should forfeit some geek points for never having played before.

I was just happily reading at the time...

Sarah (songgirl7) I'm not uncool enough for D&D. :(

Jackie "the Librarian" Your kids are so cute, RA! I love how Skyler keeps giving D&D the thumbs-down. :D

I've only played D&D once, with an old boyfriend.

But one time, at the end of the AggieCon in College Station, TX, a group of us got together and played this game with our own made up PlayDoh monsters and the D&D dice.

RandomAnthony Thanks, ladies...I was surprised Tristan grew so interested in D and D...I'm not sure if he'll get his brothers/friends interested enough to play. I'm going to stop at an office supply store and get graph paper today so he can start experimenting. Any excuse to stop by an office supply store.:)

Plus, Charissa, you keep saying things like that, I'm going to put them on a plane and send them west for the summer:)

Charissa (dakinigrl) as long as you come on the plane with them I'm in!

RA, that was an awesome video. I loved it! And I love your boys' haircuts. So cute!

And it's officially been decided: D & D = uncool.

Clackamas That means I belong here in the outhouse of the uncool... maybe that's why I'm single. I can only hide my love of games for so long before I accidentally drop in an alignment or multi-sided die reference.
