Debbie (db_debber) | 2757 comments SQ is just as good as GS and the Girl, but in a slightly different way. I love Sarah Addison Allen and am so excited to see what her next one is about. The Peach Keeper: A Novel looks like it will be out March of 2011.

Did you have a favorite one? From the first one I am most intrigued by Hawke- hoping he gets his own book.

Oh no- I have such a long way to go to get to 10! I can't wait to read 2- so glad I finally picked the first one up. It was seriously awesome.

message 408: by Rossy (new)

Rossy (naughtybookjunkie) | 2192 comments Actually you're lucky you just started reading them and still have a few to keep you busy until at least the 9th book comes out. I feel like i have been waiting for years, when it has only been about 2 months.LOL

KimKirt | 1638 comments Just finished the first of my recs. Unpredictable. I enjoyed it, many laugh out loud moments. Thanks for the rec, Karolina!

message 410: by Sue (new)

Sue (knitwitsl) | 226 comments LethalLovely - I just finished "Pleasure Unbound" by Larissa Ione and I really enjoyed it! I already have the second one requested from the library. And I'm still waiting for "Unholy Ghosts" by Stacia Kane from the library, but I hope to finish that this month as well.

Fran - I don't have a favorite of the Psy-Changeling books by Singh. I seem to like them all quite a bit!!

I just finished The Hunger Games and I loved it!

Jim son of Jim (formerly PhotoJim) (jim_formerly_photojim) | 5294 comments Jess, I finished Morrigan's Cross this morning. I really enjoyed it. It reminded me of the sword and sorcery fantasy I used to read like the air I breathe. Interesting time travel/world travel spin. I'll certainly read the other two books in the trilogy.

Thanks for a great pick.

If you like Morrigan's Cross, which most people think is the weakest in the trilogy, then you are in for a treat for the next two.

The third book is my fave. : )

Jim son of Jim (formerly PhotoJim) (jim_formerly_photojim) | 5294 comments Number two is sitting on my lap now. Trying hard not to start it until I get a few things done.

Yz what are the other two? I read Morrigan's Cross last month and although I liked it, I was like hmm this has to get better lol

That would be:
Valley of Silence (Circle trilogy, #3) by Nora Roberts Dance of the Gods (Circle trilogy, #2) by Nora Roberts

It does get better. The third book, I think, is the best.

Penney (pschoener) | 3553 comments Hi Mandy!
I just finished Absolutely, Positively and really enjoyed it. It was a very interesting read and not one that I would have picked myself. Thanks for the recommendation.

message 420: by Melanie (new)

Melanie (melaina) | 1339 comments Dee, I read First Comes Marriage on the train coming back from Italy this morning: the start of it kind of reminded me of P&P (am I imagining things, lol?)... It's not fast-paced, but it's a sweet read, and I really enjoyed Vanessa's optimism: The characters I really want to read about are Margaret and Constantine!! Does he get a book? I can't imagine he's as bad as he's portrayed in the first book! 3.5-4 stars:-) Thanks Dee! In two days I'll be reading PC Cast's Goddess of the Rose:-) yay for me!

Melanie, Con's book came out spring of this year. Stephen's book is the only one I didn't really care for. Here is the series.
Then Comes Seduction (Huxtable Quintet, #2) by Mary Balogh Katherine
At Last Comes Love by Mary Balogh Meg possibly my fav until I read Con's Seducing an Angel (Huxtable Quintet, #4) by Mary Balogh Stephen A Secret Affair (Huxtable) by Mary Balogh Constantine

I'm so glad you liked it! It definitely has that sorcery feel to it. I love the world traveling aspect and her depiction of the "mystical" land of Gael. Hope you enjoy the rest of the series!

Glad you got through it. I'm sorta the opposite because I was totally engrossed in the romance genre but hadn't read much else. It's been exciting to read a few paranormal books in the past few weeks and they're quickly growing on me. :)

message 429: by Jenny (new)

Jenny Delandro I have finished my 2 Sarah Addison Allen books and BJ you were right! I did love them. Waiting for the other books from the library... thanks so much. Picking up The Hunger Games to read now :)

message 430: by Yz the Whyz, Moderator (new)

Yz the Whyz (whyz) | 9327 comments Sandy,

I finished Kleypas' Mine Till Midnight today. It was an easy, quick read, and I definitely enjoyed the writing style. Thanks for giving me the push to try this author.

I'm hoping to get The Thirteenth Tale too before the month ends. Currently waiting for it to arrived per my request from the library.

message 431: by Ashley♥Alexis (new)

Ashley♥Alexis | 309 comments Alrighty so i decided to read two books that was recommended to me this time around. I just Finished Virgin River by Robyn Carr which has been on my TBR list for months, so thanks Regina for giving me the push to read it ^.^ It started off really slow so i actually had to put it down because i was so disappointed. I went back to it a few days later and im really glad i did. I didn't enjoy the other Robyn Carr series I read but i think i might read the 2nd in this series at least. I really like how she tells the story of this "simple" small town and all the memorable characters in it.

message 432: by Melissa (new)

Melissa | 1245 comments So far, from my recommendations off my tbr shelf, I have finished The Pirate Lord (I gave it 3 stars) and The Beach House (I gave it 2 stars). I am still waiting for Mine Till Midnight from paperbackswap, which is a new to me rec.

message 433: by Anja (new)

Anja | 40 comments I finished Some Girls Bite. I'm glad I read it because I don't read much UF/PNR but I don't think I want to read the rest of the series. I'll write up a review for it later.

Thanks, Amanda, for the recommendation. I'll be reading Demon Angel which you also recommended as it is on another one of my challenges this month.

message 434: by Ceej (new)

Ceej (drqangel) | 1015 comments I finished Mine Till Midnight (The Hathaways, #1) by Lisa Kleypas yesterday and What Happens in London (Bevelstoke, #2) by Julia Quinn . I like them both but I found What Happens to be a little slow. Wasn't quite sure where the author was going but in the end, the whole mystery thing made it good. And I totally cracked over Seb's theatrical debut lol

message 435: by Mojca (new)

Mojca | 1414 comments Leah , I finished All I Ever Wanted last night. Thanks for the rec, though I would've read this one eventually, you just sped up the process. ;P

It sure started slow, but once it picked up pace (and I finally "dug in") it turned out rather well, though I didn't like it as much as her previous books.

Lindsey (mammalynz) | 50 comments Rachel
I went to my Local Used book store after I got my recs and although I didn't get some of the ones I had hoped to, I did get Pleasure Unbound, Evernight, and The Awakening and The Struggle, I haven't yet gotten to Pleasure unbound,I read and liked Evernight, But the Vampire Diaries Books Were so good, that once I finished with the first two stories I had to make an immediate run to Target to get the next two! This really amazed me since I didn't think I was much of a young adult kind of reader... Guess I will have to once again broaden my horizons! Thanks so much for the awesome recs!

The Darkest Night
Undead and Unwed

I DO choose a book by its cover and Undead and Unwed is calling to me.

I hope you like it! It's a fun and fast read. I am up to the 4th in the series- using the 4th and 5th ones for the AUTUMN challenge.

Finished my recommendation today, Yours Until Dawn.

I really enjoyed the book, and definitely didn't see the big twist coming ;)

I think I'll read some more Teresa Medeiros books in the future.

Thanks for the recommendation! :)

Polina (p0lit0o) | 71 comments Well, I'm in a hurry so I'll be quick! I finished Mockingjay and looooooooved it. Definitely a five star one! I'll have to review and rate it later, though. No big deal. I had fun!

Courtney K (cklueh) | 510 comments --Fran--

I finished Undead and Unwed. I really enjoyed it. Nice and light, very funny, minimal raunchy scenes (thank you!) and an overall pleasure to read. I like the unusual stance on the "chosen one" theme. Davidson turned that one on its head! Plus, I enjoyed the unusual ending for a romance. Although, I don't read many series romance novels. Great rec!

Wicked ♥ (Wickedly Bookish Reviews) aka Bat-Jess | 130 comments Gigi, Just finished Lover Awakened. I really enjoyed this one! Very well done and I loved getting deeper into some of the characters of the brothers. Can't wait to read the next one!

I also read Shiver and I really liked it. I'm reading the second one in the series right now, Linger. The characters are great and the concept of how the whole werewolf thing works is very original.

Thanks for the great recs! Can't wait to do this challenge again next month.

Courtney- I'm so glad you liked it! I'm up to the 4th one and they are still enjoyable. When you're in the mood for something cute, light, with a paranormal twist Queen Betsy fits the bill.

Becky (beckysbusyreading) | 258 comments I just finished Soullessby Gail Carriger I am so happy I read it! I totally enjoyed the book and look forward to others in the series.
I want to send a thank you out to FlibBityFLoob for the rec!

Pam | 1048 comments Penney-
I just finished Garden Spells. Read the whole book today as a matter of fact--so need to get cracking on some grading before tomorrow. I really liked this book. Am excited by the fact that my daughter liked The Sugar Queen even better. I'm still trying to get a hold of a library copy of Naked in Death to read. Thank you for encouraging me to read this.

message 450: by Debbie (new)

Debbie (db_debber) | 2757 comments You should also try the newest of Sarah Addison Allen's (The Girl Who Chased the Moon) for me it was comparable to GS. Loved it :)
