That was one I loved & gave a 5 star review to :) GREAT book!

This book was really good!
The character's were so full of life they could have
walked straight out of the pages!
The story looks at many different issues that many people
face at least once in their lives.
Also looks at different people's points of view, and how society then judges them for being so different.
I'll love to read more by this authora.

Animal Farm
The Pit & The Pendulum
(just finished BOTH of them)
The Portrait of the Artist As A Young Man-Joyce
1984-Orwell
House of 7 Gables-Hawthorne
Lord of the Flies-Golding
Catch-22- Heller
Northanger Abbey-Austen
Brave New World-Huxley
In Cold Blood-Capote
Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency-Adams
Prime of Miss Jean Brodie/Girls of Slender Means/Driver's Seat, etc- Spark. I find it really strange that this one thin book has FOUR titles!
I'm still working my way through Alias, Grace, Book of Illusions & Of Love & Shadows. I like that I have the quickie reads that I can breeze through between the "heavier" novels.

Loved Cider House Rules by him.

and
Old Goriot (or Pere Goriot) by Honore de Balzac.
This one will be making it back to my reading pile again. Very, very good.

There is a few of hers I didn't "get", like Life Before Man or The Penelopiad, bit this one is good IMO.

I haven't read those. I read Handmaid's Tale, Alias Grace, and The Blind Assassin. Liked AG the best, then the BA.

The Warden isn't on the list, only the last of the series. Thank you for your comment about reading them all, which I had intended to do. It helps me know I'll appreciate taking the journey through all six.

I am halfway through Lord of the Flies. It's really interesting, I have no idea why I haven't read it before. Going to go see if I can finish it up :)

Hi Elizabeth - thanks for catching that! Darn one less to check off...
