Although I enjoyed the book, I read straight after The Pact. Way to many similarites, there were even whole sentences repeated in both. If I never read the discription of someone running their fingernail along a chair, pants leg etc etc it will be too soon. Don't think I'll ready anything of her for some time.
I felt it was a bad copy of We Need to Talk About Kevin

Yeah, it could have been so much better. The plot was great, and topical. the process, and effects of bulling, she captured this well, but the message got lost, in a bad structure.

Well I haven't exactly read We need to Talk about Kevin but the plot seem eerily similar.

forgot to say I haven't read We Need to talk about kevin. but going by the press release i think you're right. must get a copy though it sound interesting.
