Welcome to the group and good luck with the iPad hunt. I read on my mini and on a Sony Reader (no backlight, so good outdoors). And I read on my phone if I'm in a waiting room somewhere. It's surprising how a good story will draw you in no matter how you read it.

Where are you based?
I'm remote up in the Pilbara, so far have been to The Gold Coast, Sydney, SA, and that's about it. Still lots of places to see, if only it weren't so expensive to holiday in my own country. lol

So true about cost Jody. From Sydney. Your part of the world sounds great!

Put it this way, our library is only open 9-1 so with my work hours, I can't go. So I rely a lot on goodreads, and going without lunch to get to the library to grab the books I want!
It's a small world Carolyn :)

just joined the group. I'm remote WA and read everything and anything!"
Welcome and enjoy!

Hi Jody! We're in NSW, but we moved here from sixteen years in the Pilbara (Tom Price). Don't you just love that red dirt and spinifex? :) And the smell of the rain coming? May well be feeling just a tiny bit homesick right now...

Welcome Michelle, lovely to have you with us! We'd love you to tell us a bit about your writing too; we have a special section for our authors here - https://www.goodreads.com/topic/group... - go to the top right hand corner where it says "new topic" and click on that...follow the prompts. Then you'll have your own thread to tell us all about your books!
Enjoy the group and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask:)

My name is Melissa! I'm from Sydney. Im a nurse and love all sorts of books! Especially thriller, mystery and sci fi!!! I love reading and reviewing books and I also just started a blog www.booksbabiesbeing.com but its in the very early stages :)
I also have a toddler who makes me read to him at least 50 times a day so am always looking for good children's books to mix things up and save my sanity!
Looking forward to chatting with you all!!

He doesn't exactly read yet but he makes me read it to him and points at all the pictures and words and I am fairly sure he is going to be a reader like me!! :)
There are only so many times you can read "Where is the Green Sheep" and "Hairy Maclary" without going a bit batty!! Great books, but I have already read them at least 10 times each today!! He has a big book collection already, but he LOVES these two! Think I might need to expand it some more :)
Welcome to the group Melissa .
Where is the Green Sheep? is possibly one of the best books ever written but I can indeed understand your problem:)
