I'm Bec from the Gold Coast.
I work in Brisbane City so every day I have two blissful hours of kid free reading time during my commute.
I'm part of an informal book club where we ..."
Hi Bec - your want to read list is going to grow very quickly!
Welcome to the group :)

Welcome to the group Tim - nice to meet you

History, science-fiction, supernatural, philosophy - I am fascinated by the realm of literature which seems to be endless in its subjects. Books about outsiders, underdogs, the isolated and the multitude of those somewhere in between seem to fascinate me.

I'm Beck from Adelaide.
I've been on Goodreads for a couple of years, but really started to get into it a couple of weeks ago.
I'm into an odd assortment of books -- loooovvveee dystopian (John Marsden's 'Tomorrow' series and 'The Hunger Games' in particular), Stephen King, strong female protagonists generally, Jane Austen, Dickens, crime/mysteries and Harry Potter.
My husband is hugely into comics, so I've been trying to get into them as well. The only trouble is, I generally find superheroes dead boring. So far, I've discovered 'Saga', the Buffy comic and I also like 'Kick Ass'. If anyone has any recommendations, please let me know!
That's about all for now. Nice to (virtually) meet you! : )

I have a few Aussie books on my shelves waiting to be read: Seven Types of Ambiguity by Elliot Perlman, Jasper Jones and Rhubard by Craig Silvey, All That I Am by Anna Founder, A Fraction of the Whole by Steve Toltz.
Greetings.

Thanks Michael.

Thank you so much for the warm welcome. Slowly but surely, I'm finding my way around the group (first group I've ever joined).
We have a lot of fun here Bianca - monthly and seasonal challenges which you're more than welcome to join. We have great discussions on many and varied topics as well! Hope you have fun:)

Thanks Julie. I will sure give JJ another go (I started reading it few years ago, but for whatever reason I didn't finish it).

Welcome Beth, it's great to have you with us:) Feel free to browse and check the different threads out - you'll find lots to interest you...

Thanks Carolyn. Loving Goodreads and the great groups I've joined. What's everyone reading and loving right now?

Beth if you go to the Currently Reading thread, that's where everyone posts what they're reading/what they've just finished etc:)

Or I noticed, if you click on the members, you can see what everyone is currently reading.

I'm new to the group. My name is Tracy I'm an avid reader and an author of epic fantasy (I've posted about that in the appropriate thread ;-) ) I love reading fantasy - epic, urban, paranormal and also the classics and only a bit of sci-fi. I also take guilty delight in reading historic romances - ye gods did I really just confess that ;-)
Anyway I'm looking forward to being a part of the group.
Cheers.
